I never write reviews, because I think most of them are written by entitled buttheads who expect perfection at every corner, which is completely unreasonable….HOWEVER….
The Blacksburg Hilton Garden Inn is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff was great, the outdoor spaces are fantastic, and the location is close enough but not in the mix of downtown revelers.
We arrived late – didn’t matter, they had us.
We needed some help – they had us.
We needed something printed – it was done.
Overall, I know there are plenty of places to stay in the ‘Burg, but this is where I’m going to stay, always.
It might not be the old “Red Lion Inn” (iykyk) but it’s the king of the hotels for me!

The hotel itself is nice and well-located. The room was not serviced while we were staying there, so no towels, toilet tissue, etc. As a Diamond member, I planned to use the daily food & beverage credit toward breakfast each morning, but realized it could only be applied to 2 options – a yogurt parfait or a “kid’s plate”. That type of nickel & dime-ing is enough to ensure I stay elsewhere on future trips.

This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are super clean and everything is in order. But, the service at the restaurant needs a lot of work. I was really disappointed by the service especially with how well put together the rest of this hotel is. Definitely stay here, but plan to eat somewhere else.

We were coming through for the night and could not have been more pleased with the hospitality and cleanliness of the hotel! From the lady that checked us in to the one that checked us out ( Carrie) everyone was very friendly! Would highly recommend!

Great location, nice restaurant on site, clean rooms and helpful staff.

A tip for people who use the Hilton app to check in, receive a digital key and bypass the front desk. If your room includes breakfast you need to stop at the front desk for a breakfast ticket or the restaurant will charge you. Nothing against this hotel but Hilton needs to make some enhancements to its app to include check-in information in the app about the specific hotel you’re staying at like providing you this information about the breakfast process.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel. I thought it was pretty clean but the food wasn’t my favorite. The front desk worker Jamie was extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. Overall a good pick for the price.

My go to hotel whenever I visit Blacksburg! Jamie was very helpful during my stay with ideas of places to visit and things to do around town. I also love the new decorations, especially the buttons! Highly recommend staying here, and I’ll definitely be back.

Pros:
The hotel is well located and clean. The staff were attentive and polite.

Cons:
The room was a little tired, with some stains. The cleaning staff on checkout day were persistent despite having hung the sign, and the breakfast selection was poor for the price. Overall it is a fine hotel but I recommend the Virginia Tech run hotel over this location.

My stay was 08/08/24 for 3 nights to attend a wedding. As a lifetime Diamond I have stayed in thousands of Hilton properties. This property is truly a wonderful one and I would heartily recommend it. Clean, nice rooms and the entire staff was welcoming and accommodating. I wish to especially thank Bryan Adamson for helping me out at a critical moment. I had forgotten to print out my speech for the wedding. With a gracious smile, he had me send it to his e-mail and printed it out for me. I sincerely appreciated this offer. All the staff was fantastic. Great property. Great people. Thanks.

I personally love staying here. My rooms are always clean. I have everything I need in my room. Staff is always so friendly and helpful. Rhiannon always recognizes me when I call to reserve a room for the night. She doesn’t have to ask me for my Hilton Honors # or email. She usually can have me booked in 3 minutes or less. She always welcomes me back when I come through the door. The restaurant is great with its new menu. Chef does an awesome service and food is delicious every time. I usually stay in the area every Monday and Wednesday night and try to stay here. I recommend it to all of or drivers. Great Hospitality.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel had ample parking and a nice outdoor lounging area. A small restaurant and bar area with a breakfast served daily for a reasonable cost. The bar was opened after five with some dining options. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you’re a Buffalo Bills fan from Western New York, the Bruce Smith wall of Fame will be a pleasant surprise.

Rooms are clean, yet somewhat weathered. They had a coffeemaker, fridge and a microwave, which was convenient and used. My family dined in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Great options and quality food. The location is not in the busy area, but a short drive to the VT campus and Main Street Blacksburg. Plenty of parking. Very nice patio area to relax. Best of all, the staff was super helpful and friendly. Luke and Rhiannon took great care of us.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly and made everything easy — they even helped me extend my visit without switching rooms, which I really appreciated. Dana, one of the managers, was especially helpful and took the time to chat about some ways the property could work for future visits and small gatherings. The whole place has a relaxed, welcoming feel and great service start to finish. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town and so will my coworkers.

The Best and cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. They gave us a gift bag. When we got off the elevator the smell was great and clean. Now about the room. Big clean and beautiful. This is a 10-star hotel for us. We love it. A great place to celebrate.

Everything about my stay was great! Jason was very helpful and friendly. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The towels and washclothes were soft. Very quiet too.

Normally I write review after the fact, but some reason I can’t wait to write the review while I’m still staying in to this hotel.

So let’s talk about this facility first, this hotel decorated very well that’s including wall decor, entrance decorated with fine arts and all, I’m sure either owner takes pride about his property or his brain must be working well to architect this hotel well and that you can see as you enter in the property.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming that feels you home away from home kind atmosphere.

Last but not least, stayed in so many Hampton inn property across the country over the years… but this property amazed me. Definitely this hotel will be my second home every time I come to this town for work.

I am a very particular guest when it comes to staying in hotels. This one definitely deserves a five star rating! The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was immaculate and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bathroom shower had great water pressure and good lighting. It was in a safe area and easy to find. Whenever we visit the area again, we’ll absolutely stay here!

I’ve stayed here many times in the last couple of years and it is a consistently pleasant experience. The staff are always great, the rooms are clean, and it’s right around the corner from an Orangetheory, Starbucks, and Target. What more could a work travel girlie ask for?

This is where I stay every time I come to Christiansburg. Great price, quality and service. The hotel is clean and updated. The staff is very hospitable. Breakfast is delicious – eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, and waffles!!

Just checked out from our 1 night stay at this hotel. We travel ALOT domestically and internationally and have high expectations for hotels. This was BY FAR the BEST Hampton Inn we’ve stayed in. From check-in, to housekeeping, to the breakfast team- EVERYONE was sooooo nice and pleasant! Rooms were clean, beds comfy, plenty of towels/washclothes in the room as well.

This was truly a phenomenal stay! If our road trips bring us back to this area again, we will definitely stay at this location!

I was very insulted by Logan the general manager and I see in other reviews I am not the only one. She insinuated that I was lying about my conference location being changed( claimed there was never a conference while I have an email to show proof, which she refused to even look at!) I only needed the cancel because of late notice that my conference was changed late. I was told when i called the 888 number that the hotel could choose to cancel and not charge the amount. When I tried to bring this up she practically screamed at me and said she would not be doing that! So I’m stuck paying for a room with won’t be staying in because she was adamant she was right. Hilton Honors what a joke!! She was an extremely disrespectful and arrogant. If that’s the best Hilton can do I will never set foot in one again! I hope corporate pays attention to these reviews about Logan- the whole thing exchange was unprofessional and has tainted me from ever going to a Hilton again. Do better Hilton.
