Entrance/ check in at front of hotel was always blocked by cars with no occupants. Same cars were still parked there in the morning yet there was available parking spaces open. The area in front entrance is a safety issue and should be available for emergency or fire personnel to have access to.

This place was AWFUL! I am a diamond member and have stayed in many Hampton inns and this one was nasty. The room was so dusty it gave me an asthma attack! I couldn’t breathe the whole night. On top of that, when we first got there they “upgraded” us to a worse and cheaper room (no refund either)… and almost didn’t switch us to the room we payed for. On top of that, they refuse to give late checkout.. literally won’t give it to anyone- and no; the hotel wasn’t full. The lobby smelled like cigarettes and the freeway sounded like a wormhole it was so loud. The jacuzzi was GREEN! Like algae gross green. The only positive is they had nice TVs and the front desk lady was nice.

I travel a lot for my job, and one of the things I always request when making reservations is a king room with a bathtub. When I checked in, I found a walk in shower and not tub. I didn’t bother to complain, but then I received a text from Joel at the front desk welcoming to the Hampton Inn and how was my room?
I mentioned I was disappointed the room didn’t have a bathtub. He promptly asked me if I would like to change rooms. I was surprised and pleased with his immediate response to go above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my room!
Joel is a Rock Star employee and definitely understands what true customer service can do for weary travelers!

Few things but in all a very nice stay.

The negative:

It was very warm in the room…unable to regulate temperature
Which made it very difficult to sleep through the night

The positive:

The bed was very comfortable and room was clean and room did not have any overpowering scents which is always nice

The best thing about the stay was the staff. One gentlemen in particular was especially nice and made our morning. A nice Scottish gentleman by the name of John…super friendly and made us laugh

Part of the room was remodeled looks like the carpeting and the wallpaper. The furniture was old. There’s heavy chipping round the cabinets and the table. I stayed for 18 days. On 5 day I asked for maid service. To restock the supplies and had to ask twice. the first day didn’t show up. And ask again the second day came and restocked supplies. same thing happened after another five days ask them to restock the supplies and ask again for 2 more times and they show up the second day.

I do not often leave reviews but staff at the Hampton Inn well exceeded my expectations- our experience was amazing! During our late evening check-in the two gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. We were pulling a uhual trailer and they made sure we were parked in a safe/secure area and even guided me as I backed it into an appropriate space!

In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast, where another friendly employee went above & beyond and helped my 4 kids make waffles, and offered us fresh cookies from the oven

Later, the receptionist opened the pool early for my kids to get a head start on swimming before check-out. And, while the pool was chilly, there was hot cocoa for the kids to warm up with during and after swimming.

At check-out, another receptionist offered my kids snacks for the road; and oh boy, did they get some goodies! Water bottles, soda, trail mix, & cookies for the whole family- I couldn’t believe it!

On top of amazing customer service, the suites are HUGE and fairly priced! Perfect for a big family like ours!

My whole experience at the Hampton Inn in Federal Way at the Gateway center was so above what I expected, we are already planning another stay with a family friend in the near future; and this will probably be our go-to place when we visit nearby family as well. I also look forward to trying other Hampton Inn’s as I was a first time visitor. I really appreciated every detail and left feeling that the people who work at the Hampton Inn care about the customer experience. You have an amazing team there!

Simple, clean, well thought out facility. Great staff helped us to learn how to say “Puyallup.” Comfy beds, good breakfast offerings including a pancake machine that promises a fresh, hot pancake in a minute. The roll down drapes really darken the room. Pretty quiet. Close to refueling station and a McDonald’s. Adequate parking.

Clean, spacious rooms. You can hear the freeway noise but its a convenient location. A bit pricey for where it is, but it is nice.

It’s almost perfect. Clean, large, renovated rooms. Unfortunately, our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the highway, so I’ve been woken up by the loud semis traveling the highway in the middle of the night. Another family member didn’t have any noise issues as they had a room on the ground floor level.

One night stay while visiting family on Thanksgiving. Staff were warm and welcoming. Ample parking. Hotel in general was clean, especially the rooms. Comfortable bed/linens. Great included breakfast…lots of choices. Loved the pancakes – nice change from the usual waffles. Assortment of food/misc items for sale in the lobby. Easy access to the freeway/restaurants/ shopping. Will stay here again!

What a great stay here! The hotel appears to have went through a renovation as everything had a really new look and feel to it. The room was great, spacious and incredibly clean (as was the whole hotel). Very modern. I loved the flood plan – it was really well laid out. The white tile in the bathroom was beautiful. King bed was really comfortable with nice linens. Breakfast far exceeded expectations for this price point. All around fantastic (albeit short) stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Express. The room was spacious, with all the amenities I needed. The customer service was great and everyone was friendly. The only flaw I could mention is the location. It was packed into a small parking area, arguably too small for the guests, with a McDonald’s directly in front of the lobby. Other than that, my stay was great. Happy traveling!
