HIDDEN GEM! Absolutely stunning property. A true Georgian house. The past owners will be proud. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Inn keeper very nice and helpful. Clean and well managed. Breakfast is great! dinner can be improved. Lacks flavor unfortunately. They have a great menu French menu and unfortunately needs a lot of help. I am a chef and would suggest sticking to old classical american food like their breakfast. Take the Escargot off ( its not fresh ). This place is sooooo beautiful and I would go visit again.
The innkeepers are fantastic to work with and very accommodating. Stayed in the pet friendly carriage house; they were very dog friendly. Check out a yoga session with a local instructor who can come on property!
I stayed one night at the Inn. I was the only guest for a mid-week stay. I did self check-in with door code, and I found my information on the desk as was detailed by email. It was a little odd entering an empty Inn, and after a bit of wandering, I found my room (I got disoriented), and got right in. The room was perfect. Breakfast was served right on time and was good. I like supporting small local businesses, because I own one up in Vermont. The owner was very sweet.
Went to a family gathering for lunch. We didn’t stay at the inn, so I can’t speak about the rooms, but the lunch was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They don’t have a wheelchair ramp yet, but they were very helpful in getting my wife into the building. I was told that’s the next project. Worth a stay if you like historical places. ?
Let me start by saying that I rarely leave poor reviews of anywhere, and I have been ALL OVER. My wife worked in this industry and I believe that if someone is going to spend their money they should know the truth. The building is beautiful and location is great. However, the décor is very tired thrift ship furniture, not befitting the grandeur of the site. And be aware, no TV’s in the rooms. (that didn’t bother us) Customer service was nonexistent. Many of the guests were not told that the kitchen was closed due to a wedding when they booked and had to make other arrangements for dinner. (a heads up would have been nice) In the bar that evening we were all asked to leave, without warning, as they decided to close at 9 pm because the bartender was tired… None of the guests were pleased as no one wanted to drive down the street to another bar after drinking. We all wanted to have a few drinks an go upstairs to our rooms, Not too much to ask, or again, a heads up. The staff lacked any sense of proper dress and obviously had little to no training, especially table service. Breakfast was absolutely horrible! Obvious prepackaged, warmed up food, bruised, well passed sell by date fruit, just awful. For the price and selling point of being the swankiest place it town, it was severely lacking.
just want to thank Tomi for a very enjoyable visit. Room 4 was great with our very own balcony! As for Byron’s restaurant, the dinner was outstanding! Our server Emma was awesome. A window seat with candles and classical music playing made it a magical evening to celebrate Christmas. Donna and I stayed here over a year ago. It was very nice to be back at this special inn again in December 2022. A small suggestion, please add Ruby Port or Sherry to your limited alcohol selection at your bar.
This is the second year the company I work for has rented out the Inn, and both years have been AMAZING! All of the rooms are comfortable and unique. The beds, linens and duvets are luxurious. Tomi and the rest of the staff are so nice and hospitable. The food is delicious and the Inn is beautiful! We can’t wait to return again next year! Thanks, Tomi and the rest of the staff!
Gorgeous building and grounds. Nice staff. BUT, in dire need of updating – our room needs painting and new (or shampooed) carpet – furniture throughout is worn and doesn’t even match. Staff is nice but need training ! Breakfast is very poor – only premade casseroles or eggs that have been watered down. The only really GOOD thing here is dinner – they have a good chef and the food is very good. HOWEVER – the wait staff is not properly trained on how to serve in a fine dining establishment. Plates are whipped away when one person is done (don’t wait for both) – wait staff dress dressed in dirty clothing… Wine list is dreadful and dreadfully overpriced for the items on it. Nothing good or interesting. Wait staff are also bar tenders and told us “we can look it up in the book” when asking about having a Cosmo… Clearly no knowledgeable about wine or mixed drinks. Worst of all – owners are not present or helping their staff!!! On Thanksgiving the wait staff were clearly over worked – service was dreadful – with one owner flitting through asking “everything good?” – Owners live on site but seem to be very “hands off”. Only a quick run through saying “everything good?” … This place could be wonderful – but needs a lot of updating and training to get there. On the good side – great pillows!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family and I absolutely loved this hotel. We stayed the weekend for my daughters 8th birthday- everything was so nice, clean, the staff was super friendly, the food was so much better than we could have imagined/thought. We would all stay here over and over again. The pool was also really nice, never over crowded, and clean. 1000/10.
Very clean!! White sheets and comforter are always a high mark for me. Friendly and helpful staff! The included dinner and breakfast are nothing special but very appreciated! The breakfast I felt was a bit better than the dinner. Also this hotel is very dog friendly with grass locations to walk your furry family member. I highly recommend it if you are traveling with your dog.
Your stay includes breakfast and dinner, nothing fancy but tastes good and affords you more free time either for business or visiting. The room was clean, everything worked correctly, the water was hot, the staff was friendly and obliging. I was on the 8th floor and even though the hotel had several rooms being used I never had a long wait for the elevator, they worked smoothly and quickly. Thank you Drury for a great stay
Everything was great. The staff were nice. Food and drinks were nice. Loved the happy hour drinks. Loved the pool and hot tub. Beds were amazing! Would definitely stay here again!
This place is fantastic and a great value. The staff is everything you can hope for at a hotel. I could not be more pleased with our stay here. The pool was great and there was a hot tub as well, all indoors. Parking was great. The breakfast tasted great and had a nice variety of offerings. They even had a “snack dinner” and had a free drink card for the bar. I was impressed. I highly recommend this hotel.
Amazing hotel! My family came to Pennsylvania for a trip and needed a place to stay the night and we found Drury Hotel randomly in a search. Easy to locate and get to, and had a good distance from other cool shops and stores in Pittsburgh. We were all a little stressed and tired from driving for so long, but the front desk hostess, Amanda, was so sweet! She got us in quickly and made sure we were comfortable, and let us know all the great amenities that came with the hotel, like the pool, hot tub, breakfast, and snack market downstairs. Rooms were great and super clean, and we had a cool view of the city. Definitely recommend this hotel, it was one of the best we stayed at!
