Breakfast is great! dinner can be improved. Lacks flavor unfortunately. They have a great menu French menu and unfortunately needs a lot of help. I am a chef and would suggest sticking to old classical american food like their breakfast. Take the Escargot off ( its not fresh ). This place is sooooo beautiful and I would go visit again.
The building is beautiful and location is great. However, the décor is very tired thrift ship furniture, not befitting the grandeur of the site. And be aware, no TV’s in the rooms. (that didn’t bother us)
Customer service was nonexistent. Many of the guests were not told that the kitchen was closed due to a wedding when they booked and had to make other arrangements for dinner. (a heads up would have been nice) In the bar that evening we were all asked to leave, without warning, as they decided to close at 9 pm because the bartender was tired… None of the guests were pleased as no one wanted to drive down the street to another bar after drinking. We all wanted to have a few drinks an go upstairs to our rooms, Not too much to ask, or again, a heads up.
The staff lacked any sense of proper dress and obviously had little to no training, especially table service.
Breakfast was absolutely horrible! Obvious prepackaged, warmed up food, bruised, well passed sell by date fruit, just awful.
For the price and selling point of being the swankiest place it town, it was severely lacking.
