Checked into our room. It was a non pet room. We found animal hair all over the carpet. At closer examination we found dog food pellets all over the floor. Called front desk and they sent somebody up to clean. Then we noticed the shower had not been cleaned. Hair was stuck to the shower wall and used toiletries in the tub. After this we couldn’t even be sure the sheets had been changed. We demanded a room change. They moved us to probably the cheapest room in the hotel…. very small and NO window, although it was clean. You would think, as compensation for our trouble, they would give us at least a comparable room, if not an upgrade at no cost! After all the issues all they offered us for the trouble was a 10% discount on the smaller room! Overall, it seemed like a nice hotel, and I know things happen, but after all this hassle, they seemed little concerned with making us ever want to come back! In all my years of traveling, I have never experienced a room in this condition!
This place was clean and well organized. The layout was very simple, which I appreciate. In the center of the hotel they had nice large indoor pool that has rooms with little patios that open up directly to the pool. If I ever stay in Butte with my kids I’d love to get one of those rooms.
This is the best hotel ever! The staff at Copper King Hotel in Butte Mt honestly made all the difference in our experience, so friendly and just such a pleasure to interact with!! The room was so luxurious, and water pressure in the shower was amazing (definitely pre-Obama status)! Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a hotel.
We loved staying at the Copper King for an evening through Butte. The room was exceptionally clean. It was quiet. The beds were comfy. The check-in process was easy. The facility is in outstanding shape. The work out room was spacious (but no free weights). The breakfast had many options including eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, and waffle makers. The only tricky thing for folks is there is $250 hold on your credit card for damages, which for one night looked like a $400+ hotel stay (we paid about $160). It’s a bit out of town, but that was fine for us. Worth it, and we’d stay here again on the way through town.
Best hotel in Butte. Have been through here twice this year and both stays here were enjoyable. Rooms are clean and quiet. The steakhouse attached is good food. Would stay again.
We had a poolside room with a door directly to the pool. We loved it! We swam, sat in the sauna, and enjoyed the hot tub. Rooms were clean and comfy. Furnishings were nice and new. Woke up and partook in the complimentary breakfast buffet. Made our own waffles! Devoured eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, various pastries, cereal, juices … the list goes on. Everyone found something to eat. Whenever we visit Butte again, we’ll be staying here!
We have two rooms for a six-night stay. We have been pleasantly pleased with every aspect of this hotel. The rooms and facilities are clean and well kept. The staff in all areas is friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful variety of breakfast options including healthy options. There is absolutely something for everyone. For those who can utilize such options, there is a pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, meeting rooms, an onsite restaurant, and I’m sure more. I wish there was a hotel of this standard in every town we get positioned for work. I look forward to staying here plenty in the future.
Amazing staff! Everyone was very nice and helpful. My wife, toddler and I loved our stay. The rooms are clean and nice. Breakfast is amazing and having the rib and chop there is a plus. We will be back.
Really nice hotel overall, friendy staff and clean rooms. The only reason I am dinging a star is because when we first checked in we were given a room with NO window! I didn’t even know that was legal… fortunately we were able to change rooms because I would not have been able to sleep in there, and the staff was very accommodating with this. I just think that if that room is given to guests they should be warned in advance. My only other critique would be to have chairs by the fire pit.
We stayed Sunday 10/30 & Min 10/31. We did not have hot water for showers Monday morning. When I called Fri T desk was told several rooms had called. Asked for manager and for partial room credit and to be switched to room with hot water. Was told manager would call me . Received no call , did not get switched or any credit or comp. At a hotel of this standard, I would expect a resolution . It is expected to be able to have a warm if not hot shower, that is part of what the guest is paying for. For the manager to ignore and to not respond is unacceptable. Otherwise rooms were clean. We have stayed at this facility before, but probably not again due to managers lack of response. As a retail store manager, I cannot imagine just ignoring my customers!
The room was insanely small and smell like it was 300 years old. The bathroom was disgusting – with literally pieces go the wall falling apart. The bed was comfortable so we were able to sleep well, but the hotel was pretty trashy overall.
Great hotel. Stayed here because we used the VERY conventional airport shuttle for a flight out, but the facilities are really nice Indoor swimming pool was beautiful, nice gym, laundry facilities, nice business center, and a free breakfast included. Oh yes, the beds are comfortable That’s really important.
Everything for the most part was ok with the exception of 2 things. One is Wi-Fi. If you are going to advertise Wi-Fi as a available service it needs to be available. Just turning it on so that the people in the lobby can use it is not the not same as having it available in the rooms.
Pets in the Hotel. I dont know when this became a thing, but I dont own a pet like many other travellers because we dont want to deal with it when we travel. That also means Im not interested in hearing or interacting with someone elses pet while Im trying to sleep. Pet owners are selfish to other people, and just assume it will be ok. Im pretty sure we are in the majority here. Pets should not be allowed to stay in the hotel.
Small animal feces in the bed. Bandaid on the floor. Despicable that people are forced to pay $200-300+/night when there is ZERO quality control. Air quality poor and multiple rooms we had STUNK like must. Will be seeking a full refund.
**update: Refund has been allegedly issued so service here is actually decent. they do need to improve quality control and cleanliness though.
Nice room friendly staff. People in room next to me were loud until about midnight. But that’s just bad luck…nit hotels fault. Only give 3 stars for service because of the breakfast in the morning…orange juice was watery, food was not available, bananas brown, ended up frustrated and left with no breakfast.
I forgot my wallet in the room after checking out. Thankfully, the hotel employees notified me before I realized it was missing, and arranged for UPS to ship it to me the next business day. They also called 3 days after the wallet was delivered to make sure I got it.. (UPS left it in the apartment package room without scanning it so I didn’t get notified). They went above and beyond in helping me get my wallet back. I cannot recommend this more.
The room was nice and decent. The reason why I gave 5 stars and with no doubt I could stay here again will be for their staff. So nice and welcoming, all of them. They even gave maps and ideas of things to do around for the long weekend. I appreciate each of them because they are trying their very best.
No complaints , the room was great, everything seemed to work as it should in the hotel. Location was awesome , gas station and 2 fast food places right next door. Will visit again if I’m in the area.
The staff were friendly and helped with everything we asked for. Kids loved the pool. The breakfast had a great number of choices to choose from. All in all, I would stay here again.
Traveling all the time, I am rarely shocked and as pleasantly surprised as I was when I arrived at this hotel. My, My, My…..Checked in to find out the hotel is undergoing a major renovation. It is beautiful!!! 24 Hour fitness Center, 24 hour pool and 24 hour hot tub! Time to settle in!
Drury is always a special treat. We chose this location because we didn’t want to get out in the snowstorm to grab dinner. The complimentary Dinner was delicious as always The workout room was well equipped and our room was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious
We stayed as part of a hockey team (I know this can be challenging for hotel). This hotel and the staff were beyond amazing! They were so accommodating and friendly to the kids and the parents! I would highly recommend this hotel if your a sports team and need a group rate. Prices were awesome, clean rooms, amazing staff and breakfast was fantastic!
The rooms weren’t very sound proof. We could hear the people above and beside us. But the 24 hr swimming pool and hot tub made up for it. And I kinda wish breakfast was available a little later. Trying to get 3 teenagers up before 10 am after swimming all night long was a little difficult. Lol!!! We will definitely be back!!
