A wonderful place just off the main highway. Very easy to get to. Quiet rooms and decorated so well. They match the whole train theme. I loved staying there. Nice big property around the Inn. Lots of space for my puppy to run and play. Breakfast was excellent. Customer service was excellent. My room was excellent.

I was so happy with everything.The rooms are large. The staff is so nice. i would stay again. It is small town but the hotel is so nice. We were passing through and decided to stay two nights.

The room was fine, but I had made prior arrangements to cover the cost of my brother’s room that was not honored. He was forced to pay upfront with his credit card even though I had a signed agreement to charge my card. This was very embarrassing and frustrating. This was to attend a family funeral.

This is an AMAZING alternative hotel! So much history to look at as well as very clean and updated rooms. The main lobby is super awesome too. The outside of the building looks a little plain and the signs could use some updating. We were a little skeptical as we pulled in. As soon as we walked into the lobby though…. It was just awesome. Worth every penny.

This is such a unique and interesting place to stay. Front desk personnel were very warm and friendly and definitely made you feel welcomed. Breakfast was basic but nice and they had coffee available all the time. Rooms were very nice and extremely clean. They had a pool, pool table, kids outdoor play area and bikes available to cruise around. Great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Would have been a 5/5 if not for one employee after 10 p.m. She was very rude in how she handled customers who had paid hard earned money to attend this establishment and have a nice evening. A simple, please quiet down, instead of a full, all out angry lecture to some folks who were simply trying to have a good time playing cards and might have laughed a little loud, would have been more acceptable.

Nice place, pretty nice, clean. One woman there at 10 pm was a rude lady. Otherwise ok, except you can definitely hear your neighbors through the walls. Is more expensive than a Super 8 and has railroad antiques on the wall

What an amazing place. The rooms were spacious, spotless and very comfortable with a great rocking recliner. The shower was powerful with lots of hot water. The pool looked amazing although the grandkids did not use it.
Being pet friendly was a must for us there was a great grassy area for Gabbie to run in.
We would so very highly recommend staying here.

This was an amazing place close to home! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and they made it special. The room was so clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was very clean, and the whirlpool tub in the suite was a nice, large size. We loved it so much that we plan to go back every couple of months for a quiet getaway to rest and reset.

Beautifully decorated. Did wonderful job displaying train memorabilia throughout building. We had a king room which was very clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you are going out 63 is very convenient. Otherwise may be a little out of the way but worth it. Reasonably priced.

This is a very unique hotel! We drove 20 miles one way out of our way to stay at this hotel. The price was very reasonable and it sounded very interesting. We weren’t disappointed one bit. They have tons of stuff displayed showing the history of the railroad that was very interesting. The rooms were very nice and well maintained. The breakfast was a little disappointing, but good. The only hot item they had was waffles and toast, but they had plenty of cold items such as cereal, danishes, hard boiled eggs, etc.

I love this place. The people are so nice and friendly and welcoming. Are room is beautiful and we can have our great Dan Harley with us. You can cook out side on the grill and we have almost every night. We have really enjoyed the pool table. And I love the indoor pool. The washer and dryer is 1.00 apiece. This is the best place we have stayed at. If I could give a 10 star review I would.

Wonderful stay! The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were lovely and the pool was warm and so fun for our kids. They had EV chargers available for us to charge our vehicle overnight and it all worked out great! We highly recommend staying here!

We chose the Depot Inn as a meeting place for our family. Our expectations were exceeded! The rooms are lovely, spotless with obvious attention to detail. The staff are friendly and were very accommodating to our requests. The beds were so comfortable.

There are many amenities such as a great pool, books, magazines and pool table. Continental breakfast was generous with nice variety. The train decor is museum quality.

Thank You to The Depot Inn and Suites for a wonderful stay! My children and I really enjoy the clean rooms, and comfortable beds. We really enjoy the fun in the pool! ALL the staff is phenomenal and there to meet and greet you, happily, anytime. When you stay at The Depot Inn and Suites, you are family. A beautiful hotel, you must check in and enjoy!

Absolutely WONDERFUL place. Staff is very polite. Calming atmosphere. Premises was very, very clean. A unique and interesting place. Lots of pictures, artifacts and information regarding railroad trains. I recommend everyone stay here. Once you have stayed here, you will wish there was a Depot Inn like this in every town you have to get a room at. Unbelievable low cost for what you get.

This place is awesome !!! The owners are so nice. We were in the Victorian Suite and it was spotless. The shower and whirlpool tub were great. The indoor swimming pool was really nice. The play area for the kids was great. They offer free bikes for your use. They offer a free golf cart for your use to go up to the railroad lookout. The train museum display pieces and the whole railroad decorating theme of the hotel was really cool. We even enjoyed the free pool table in the lobby. Breakfast was very simple (waffles, coffee, milk, chocolate milk and Hostess muffins and donuts) but it was okay for our needs. The price was reasonable. We intend to reroute some travel trips so we can stay here again. We had a super time !!!

The location for us was great, our niece lives in the sub directly across the highway. Our room ; The Mississippi, was nice but a little to small. We didn’t see anyone when we self checked in and all night. in the morning we met the hostess/cook/waitress who was really nice and chatted with us for a bit. It was a nice place, way better then a hotel and we will most likely be staying there again.

Very comfortable and clean. Staff are absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend these accommodations if you are looking for a better solution to the chain hotel/motel experience. Close enough to Downtown St. Louis, the travel isn’t bad but far enough away that your comfort is assured. Morning breakfast is prepared by an excellent Chef and served fresh and hot. The dining room Matron is warm, friendly, and sincere.

We were in STL for a concert at River City Casino. We had plans to stay there, but they increased rooms to an absurd amount. So we looked and found here at an affordable rate. We loved the facility and the themed rooms. Breakfast was simply put amazing. Friendly staff. Next time we stay overnight in STL they will be our first call

For slightly more than a standard hotel, you get a fun themed hotel with a great breakfast. The only negative is the thematic beds can be a bit squeaky and you might get some road noise depending on your room.

Very good place for a wedding, but it was the staff that really made it special.

Between Andrea the manager, the bartender and the evening and breakfast staff, they all truly went out of their way to make it a great night.

The themed rooms were very nice and the food was excellent. I definitely recommend the Lodge at Grant’s Trail.

Stayed just 1 night but was extremely pleased with the site and accommodations. Great location with easy access to the interstate. But still has an air of seclusion. Convenient to the Greenway with a short walk to the entrance. The lodge makes a great location for a weekend getaway. The rooms are nicely decorated in themes. Found our room to be quite comfortable. Breakfast seemed personalized and was very good. Just an overall friendly atmosphere where you, as a guest, feel appreciated.

My husband and I spent his birthday and our first anniversary in Saint Louis. We stayed at the Lodge in the Mary Lincoln room. It was so beyond different than any other experience of staying somewhere. The tub was the perfect cherry on top. I wouldn’t recommend this for a family stay, but it was GREAT romantic couple getaway.

It was like coming to a family member’s very cool house. In fact, I read the breakfast time wrong. We showed up 15 min past the end time, and Vicki made both of us a delicious meal from scratch. I couldn’t have been more impressed with her or the place. Just book it!!

The lodge has such a unique look to it! Once you enter the front door, it’s almost like you feel as if you’ve been transported into the great outdoors. The dark wood and tall ceilings give the bldg a mighty feel to it. You can get some creative shots inside and outside here for your wedding!

What a wonderful place to stay. It was comfortable, peaceful, and fun. My sister and I travel together a lot and this was one of the most charming places we have stayed. We were in the Christmas room and we were feeling the nostalgia of Christmas past. We played games downstairs in the great room/dining area. We loved looking around the lodge at all the neat, beautiful, and interesting decor. Fireplaces were everywhere, it was so cozy. The breakfast was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. We would love to stay here again on our next St. Louis visit.

It was an attractive lodge with cozy rooms, the problem is that when there is an event you are confined to the small room. We were stuck with access to nothing but tap water and a Styrofoam cup while the area immediately beyond our door had people yelling, children crying and a full PA system for their party until 10:30. I attempted to call but the phone was not staffed. I emailed and received no response. Absolutely the worst experience ever.

I don’t write reviews but i feel like this place deserves a rating. I brought my husband here for a little getaway for his birthday weekend and took him to the baseball game . The check in process was great and i was able to check in earlier then the 2 pm check in( i asked before if that was ok to go early). I was a little worried that it was a contactless check-in but once i received the information on how to check in and what to do it was quite easy. I ordered Wine and chocolate covered strawberries it was an extra cost but it was worth it to me. We stayed in the Mississippi room and i liked the balcony out to the back. I liked that breakfast is included and parking is free and right there next to the lodge. I like that it’s has trees all around to make it seem like your in the woods but in reality your not. It’s not far from the exit and right off the highway if you need to go somewhere quick. We live like 30 mins away but it was a nice little getway and a nice change of scenery i can’t wait to go again.
