Madison Hotels Featuring In-Room Jacuzzis and Hot Tubs: Guest Reviews
This place was absolutely amazing! The views are incredible, the location is perfect and the property is absolutely stunning!!! The owners are super friendly! The breakfasts were delicious and personal touches and hospitality exceeded all expectations. We will be back!
We stayed at this bed and breakfast for our anniversary. The room was great, very clean! The view was amazing in this home! Having breakfast outside while watching all the hummingbirds fly by was a great experience. The trails around the property were very nice also. The only complaints we had was that this place was not very welcoming. We got there to check in, rang the doorbell multiple times and were waiting outside for around ten minutes. That wasn’t a huge deal but at other bed and breakfasts we were always greeted promptly. We came home from dinner at 10pm and the home was very dark. If it wasn’t for the motion sensor lights at our feet we would’ve been stumbling though. A lamp or two on would do wonders. My husband also witnessed a little bit of bickering between the innkeepers, which was very awkward for him and made him uncomfortable. Also keep in mind that they have dogs, we did not know this before booking. We didn’t mind at all but if you are allergic that would be a good thing to know. I was woken up around 6:30/6:45am to the dogs barking, chasing after a squirrel. Another thing to note is that breakfast will most likely be served late. They serve at 8am or 9am. We did chose 8am. We would receive our breakfast around 8:30 both days. This may bother travelers who are on a time crunch. Overall it is a beautiful house on a beautiful property but not quite worth the $470 a night.
We had a wonderful stay…the rooms were nice, beautiful view, and close to Devil’s Lake State Park. It feel like a home away from home…looking forward to our next stay!
Amazing location! Rooms are exquisite and the breakfast was perfect. The wine and cheese hour was lovely with a wonderful charcuterie selection Close to a variety of local restaurants and state parks. Owners are very accommodating and friendly.
As soon as you walk in, Dave and Trudy, make you feel right at home. The views are breathtaking and the breakfast is spectacular. This is my husband’s and mine yearly get away. We absolutely love coming here. Look forward to next year.
We stayed here recently and were very happy with both the accommodations and the hospitality. Dave and Truty are super nice, and they went above and beyond to make sure our weekend was memorable. We will definitely be back in the spring.
I can’t say enough great things about this place. Every aspect is incredible, from the breakfast, the rooms, the scenery, and more. Dave and Trudy are kind, attentive hosts who are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. It almost felt too good to be true! Will absolutely be returning.
Almost one year ago to the day, my wife and i got engaged at The Inn. Moments after midnight in the Great Room with fireworks in the background I proposed. It couldn’t have been a better setting. What an amazing place and what incredible hosts. It felt very luxurious and cozy, with just the right amount of personal attention. We can’t wait to come back!
It’s hard to imagine how Dave and Trudy could make this any better. The breakfast was extraordinary. The gluten free options were incredible. The happy hour was amazing! Of course, the view can’t be beat. They even have hiking trails on the property and a dog that will go with you to make sure you make the correct turns. We can’t wait to go back!
We recently attended a Wisconsin Badger game and stayed at The Buckingham Inn. First it is located exactly 1 block from Camp Randle Stadium so five stars for the location. The pictures reflect the room perfectly. All new and stylish as well as comfortable. Another five stars. Breakfast was outstanding. Gourmet food at a B&B! Who would have thought! Another five stars. Finally Tom and Heide. They told us they had this dream of running a B&B for years. I am sure they exceeded their own expectations. Another five stars. If traveling to Madison for any event, do yourself a favor and stay at The Buckingham Inn and help Tom and Heide live their dream. You will be glad you did.
What a lucky find! Only been to Madison a few times and was lucky to find this wonderful BnB hosted by Tom and Heidi! We were worried we couldn’t find a place to stay on game days let alone close to Camp Randall. The room was absolutely comfortable with all the amenities needed. Attention to detail was truly amazing. Privacy, quiet, cozy are just a few words to describe the Buckingham Inn. Breakfast on both days were delicious! Tom and Heidi were very knowledgeable providing any information/recommendations/etc. you needed. Very classy place to stay for game day! Wife and I just added ‘go-to/must-stay’ place for future visits!
What a perfect home base for exploring Madison! Easy parking. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Delicious breakfasts and treats for the room. Heidi and Tom were knowledgeable and helpful in sharing information on the area. We loved walking through the lovely and historic University Heights neighborhood which even included a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Would return in a heartbeat!
Heidi and Tom are amazing hosts and their Inn is is absolutely worth the stay. It felt like coming home. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. They were available via text whenever needed and every morning it was a delight to see what their breakfast would be. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Madison from now on.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Buckingham Inn. The room was clean and the bathroom was very pretty(we stayed in the varsity room). There were snacks and extra toiletries. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Room was very clean. They thought of lots if little details. Wine opener, glasses, snacks, water, little bottles of wine. Hair dryer, razor and shave cream, toothbrush and paste. High end shampoo & conditioner, soaps.
Breakfast was served to us in our room due to Covid. Food was fresh and delicious. Great location. Would recommend to anyone interested in a B & B. First time we have ever stayed in one. Thank for a great experience.
The Buckingham Inn is the cutest, homiest, warmest, most inviting, and excellent place to stay in all of Madison, if you ask me. Especially if you’re going to a game at Camp Randall Stadium. They have thought of EVERYTHING down to the last detail, even having your name on a list with the State Police to allow you access to the parking lot.
The proprietors communicate well, give great advice of where to eat, and provide an amazing and delicious spread for breakfast!
We were in the Varsity Suite over the weekend and it was truly like coming home. But to a home with a jacuzzi tub and four-headed shower.
We already said that when we come back to Madison, this is where we are going to stay. Thank you for sharing your wonderful B&B!
Wow. Maybe the nicest place my wife and I have ever stayed. Wanted something different than a chain hotel on a quick weekday visit to Madison, and the Buckingham had all the best of a bed and breakfast (great personal service, pleasant company, character in ambience and furnishings) with the luxury and privacy of a five star hotel. All three suites are beautiful, but spring for the Varsity if it’s available–can’t beat the view of the stadium or the sprawling space or the fireplace or the big tub in the giant bathroom. Little touches abound, like a personalized welcome note with greetings and directions, wine on arrival, soda and snacks all around and Madison chocolates in the room. Breakfast was low key, healthy and delicious. Innkeepers Tom and Heidi are excellent hosts and become fast friends. Cannot recommend highly enough.
