My hotel room had a poorly cleaned feel to it. The room itself seemed old and outdated, the room and the hotel itself seems rundown. I had a jacuzzi suite, the jacuzzi rub was dirty. This experience was horrible and I won’t be back. Yet and still, the young woman who worked customer service during my stay was amazing.

This hotel is the perfect example of everything that has led to the downfall of the US. I’ve stayed in hotels in various parts of the US, in China and in Europe. This is very easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

First the good: The staff are amazing. They are kind and have great service skills. They are doing the best with the tools they’ve been given.

Now the bad: This is a hotel that has managed to stay open because there are good people employed there. It is not particularly clean, it is not particularly safe, The furniture in the rooms is old and the laminate is peeling away. The baseboards and corners are dirty. The first room that I was in smelled putrid, and I was unable to sleep as a result. The TV stand had smears of an oily substance, and the bathroom counters felt gritty. When I went to the front desk to let them know that I wasn’t happy I wasn’t offered another room. The next morning, I told the front desk that I wanted to check out and go to another hotel and I was shown another room that was acceptable. When I asked the general manager to refund me for my first night, he refused.

This hotel benefits from being subpar. It doesn’t exist to provide a safe restful place. It exist to make money and benefit from the lack of care provided to the facility. Furthermore, based on the fact that they are short staffed in housekeeping, I can imagine that they also benefit from paying poorly.

Unfortunately, when we book rooms at this hotel, we are perpetuating a corrupt system. The general manager cuts corners to increase profits. This culture of doing business is the foundation of the decline of American Society. We continue to make the rich richer, We encourage poor business practices by supporting businesses that have no integrity and we allow good people to be taken advantage of.

Be a part of positive change. Don’t support slumy hotels who only care about taking your money.

The general manager, Mr. AL karakushe, will cut and paste a response to this review and will not offer a meaningful response. He will offer his phone number and then refuse to take your call.

The service was excellent! Dominic at the front desk is a terrific example of the quality of staff. Friendly, helpful. Was there for a family get-together. Will be back when I’m in town. I am interested in seeing the finished updates they’ve been making.

Terrible Experience – Never Again

My stay here was an absolute nightmare. When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk—I had to wait 30 minutes before someone finally showed up and casually mentioned he was “out for lunch,” with no apology whatsoever.

The staff was rude and unprofessional. One employee, Bri, was yelling at customers’ children in the breakfast area. The person serving food clearly lacked basic manners and training.

On my third night, I couldn’t even get into my room. It took over 4 hours for the issue to be resolved, and during that time, no one offered a replacement room or any assistance.

While I was at the front desk, two other guests were also there complaining about no hot water, and the staff admitted they had been “dealing with it since morning.”

This hotel is extremely poorly managed. I would never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid it.

Would you like a shorter or more casual version for platforms like Google or Yelp?

The location is nice since it’s in Livonia and near different restaurants, a movie theater and mall. The upkeep of the rooms has declined. The hallways reek of a peculiar smell, the bathroom is very small and the rooms were not cleaned. My family and I were uncomfortable our entire stay. But, now that I am reading the reviews it does say 2 star hotel what did we expect? I’m not sure.

The room was not clean. Blood all over bathroom floor. Hair in the sheets. Window screens were ripped and holes in the wall. Definitely ran down and the pictures are misleading. I was stuck trying to find another hotel last minute.

We recently stayed here and would not stay again. The pool was very cold ran out of towels and the front staff could not be bothered from his personal call to get more. He stated there were no more. The breakfast did have good French toast but the meat was not good. Trash was placed in the hallways by other guests and not picked up for two nights. Repairs are being made but not at all being done well. Very disappointing as the photos are very misleading. Our heat/AC was also bipolar from HOT to COLD quickly and it was either Antartica or the Caribbean.

My overall stay was good. Phenomenal customer service. My reason for a 4 star is because not being aware of the $100 deposit. Even though I wasn’t aware, that was okay. I really wanted to inform people that don’t have banks and think you can tap pay with PayPal, cash app etc without an actual card, you can not. Even though my crew had a nice time in the pool I was on edge due to the pool starts at 4”12, so close to 5 feet once stepping in the water. If you have babies that’s 3ft to 4ft and you want them to enjoy the pool, this will not be the room unless the are very good swimmers. Honestly with a pool like that I will say a life guard should be on duty. If I’m not mistaken the pool go up to 6ft. I’m 5”3 alone and the kids was very much my height…Also my room wasn’t throughly clean…A sock from previous guest, a thank you card, and a gerber baby food wrapper. All children with me was 11 and up. Outside of those little things, the rooms was perfect…Breakfast was lovely as well.

Here is the good and the bad:

The good: Rooms are nice. Nothing fancy but clean and has everything you need. Pool area is reasonably warm. Morning complementary breakfast has all of the standard items and they keep it stocked. There are 4 EV charges on site which is a nice benefit. Staff is friendly.

The bad: I pre-paid for 3 nights. Arrived at 1:00am after a day of travelling and was told “can’t check you in due to the Best Western system being down”. We were told they had no other way to check us in to a room, so we would need to wait in the lobby until the system came back up — they had no idea how long it would take. Finally at 2:30am we get a room. The room had an open window and heat had been off, so the room was 30 degrees. A bad night as it took hours to warm up.

Upon checkout I inquired about the first night being refunded. I was told “they couldn’t do that because we spent the night”. The GM said we “could have left and gone to another hotel” — which we really could not have done as we had pre-paid, that option was not offered to us, and it was 1am?!? They agreed to “refund $50”, but only $30 was actually refunded. To me ethics mean a lot. This whole event and how they handled it dampened an otherwise pleasant stay.

The hotel really needs to develop a backup method to check people in when their system is down.

I stay at this property often and return due to several staff members pleasant attitudes, however, each stay at the Livonia property had issues. When I arrived on Tuesday, I smelled a strong stench from the bathroom in the shower drain. I used my disfectant chemicals to ease the smell. When I checked out this morning the smell returned. Also, each time staying at this property, I request a 1 pm check out. The late checkout is granted, but the housekeeper supervisor Angela always knocks on my door at 12 noon (with the do not disturb sign on the outside) and tell me I need to check out. This is not the first but the fourth time she did this; yesterday and today as well. On one occasion, the housekeeper came (who did not speak good English) and told me I needed to check out, disregarding my do not disturb sign. I explained, I was not due for check out and she began to shout and speak in her language. I told the daytime manager Dominic, the property manager, and the owner of the situation. This ongoing disrespect has warranted a need to file an official complaint.

The food was not properly prepared. The hash browns were extremely hard. The French toast were hard. The batter for the pancakes were too watery and came out super thin which had the area smelling burnt. The area was not kept and the tables and floors were not clean.

Please be consistent with thoroughly cleaning the rooms and breakfast area. Please address the lack of professional attitudes of some of the staff.

Please, I appreciate if someone could look into this reoccurring issue. Thank you!

Basic hotel for travelers passing through. Breakfast was ok but could be better. Items come out one at a time so you can’t make a complete selection… Eggs are available but the meat isn’t then the egg runs out just in time for the hash browns to be put out.

room could be nice if it was cleaned properly. room #236. paint peeling from ceiling in shower. door knob to bathroom jamb screws loose. black mold on caulk on bathtub faucet. windows have long accumulation of filth on them. someone wrote “clean me” in the film covering the glass. werent going to leave housekeeping a tip but decided to leave a dollar on the floor by the by the table leg with mass of cobwebs. body hairs on sheets from someone else prior. nice location with restaurant next door and the breakfast bar was great. when checking out, the staff never asked “how was your stay” or anything. at $125 per night for 2 persons, mid week, i have paid less and had better.

Really clean hotel with nice people. The location is also good and easy to find.

The bathroom is big enough with all the necessities, good shower beds are clean too and there is stores near. It’s also quiet place so perfect for people who don’t like noisy places.

I do recommend it, especially for the price, you will not regret it.

Although the first room we got had a smell coming in from the washroom, Angel was kind to give us a fresh room, no questions asked! She is very effective and personable and made our visit from Canada an amazing one! I also love the coffee and tea available.

They need to hire a new housekeeper because the ones y’all have is not doing their job at all. I should not be checking into a nasty room. Had to switch rooms The customer service lady was great when when I first checked in win I checked out there was a guy there very rude. He act like he didn’t want to give me my refund back. I have paid cash.

Stayed at this hotel twice, pretty decent overall for the price. My first stay wasn’t the best very best but they did give me a new room because the sheets and bedding had lots of obvious stains and the bathroom wasn’t clean but the replacement room was good.
My second stay was great, I got their jacuzzi king suite; very spacious with a room divider for the living and bathroom with a pullout and the jacuzzi was with the king bed. Large tv and just brought stuff and deep cleaned the jacuzzi. A few bugs in the room but no complaints. Had a fridge and chairs and a desk and tv in the living area as well.

8/23/25 Arrival, no one at the desk.
Hallway, hot and muggy
Room, dirty, no towels. When I called the front desk, no answer. I went downstairs to get them, guy told me in a snotty tone, you need to give me a few minutes. Never did bring them up.
Whirlpool didn’t work, I paid extra for that.
Water pipes very loud.
Breakfast, what a joke. Bacon undercooked, sausage looked nasty, no eggs left, no plates.
Do not recommend!

Front desk person had a very flat affect when we entered and during check-in… however, house keeping was friendly…room smelled like wet carpet and with the air on..smelled like urine… chairs in the lobby and rooms were stained very bad, looked very dirty.. the sheets were actually very white and clean. but this is the thing…you get what you pay for…I only needed the room to get dress for an event and pretty much checked out after a few hours… I do NOT recommend…

Chrisondra at the front desk was fabulous! She booked me in manually while the computers were down. The person scheduled to do breakfast did not show so she came back the next morning to do that too. Chrisondra needs a raise – better yet put her in charge of everything!

The hotel is scheduled to be renovated. At the moment the air conditioning in the lobby was not working. I had a first floor room and the air conditioning was fine there. Bed was comfortable.

My stay at the comfort inn was an experience every day my key card would not open up my door I had to go back downstairs two to three times to get a new key and to reprogram my key so I can get in my room. Hotel needs upgrading. The complimentary breakfast was very skimpy and not satisfying.

If I could give no stars I would! There was nothing comfortable or comforting about my stay here with my children traveling from another state! For starters.. it’s tricks and treats out side and all around the hotel. Picking up the treats (women) doing what they do and repeat. I watch this happen through out the night because I was unfortunately; unable to sleep. My first room was not only dirty from the bathroom to the bedding areas but I had to liter’s dry off with Kleenex because they had no towels, no phone to call to get any.. when we went down to request the things needed the gentleman said he’d have to go all the way downstairs blah blah blah so basically oh well.. my room was changed to another one but that sink was stopped up with dead bugs in it I was just disgusted… giving me 39. Dollars back for that was crazy… the room was 131 with a deposit of 100 dollars, so 231 was the balance but I get the 100 back. So a extra 100 dollars for a deposit was removed from my account. So 2 deposits were taken from my account.

Walking into the hotel we had a nice experience at the front desk but the warm, balmy atmosphere was unpleasant. The hallways stayed muggy and warm. The air in our room didn’t stay cool enough. The beds were comfortable, pillows and linens were clean. The room needed some repairs, flickering lights, bad patch work on the drywall repairs. Other than that it was a decent stay for the price. Aldi was nearby as were other shopping options for necessities and the like.

Their customer service was terrible I had to wait for the front desk clerk to finish doing whatever on here phone in the common area to get help. When asked about my club rewards she said she didn’t know how to check, her manager was there but she didn’t go get them. I got to my room and the ceiling was chipped I called the front desk to report it and they said it was fine. Had to clean the Jacuzzi myself and there was coagulated pee around the toilet.
