We stayed on the 3rd floor. Rooms definitely need some work. All the wall paper was lifting and with water damage in some areas. The veneer on the bedside table was chipped and in need of repair. The desk chair was old and ripped, especially on the back. We had ants in our bathroom. Front desk with alerted and thanked us for letting them know, but nothing done for us in the moment. Our room also had a musty/smoky smell and someone at some point was smoking pot either outside or a room nearby and it filled our room. Although this location was convenient for traveling and the front desk staff was very nice, we will not be staying again.
They welcomed us with warm cookies and a big smile. What else can you ask? The breakfast was very good, they even had a small charcuterie board with cheese and prosciutto. The pool was huge and very beautiful, i think during the summer the roof is retractable. The water was warm and very relaxing. We ate at their restaurant. The portions are huge. Overall a very nice experience.
I recently stayed here and Chloe Marcel at the front desk provided exceptional service. She remembered my name throughout the stay and consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication truly made my experience memorable. Thank you, Chloe, for your outstanding service.
It’s a nice hotel and conveniently close to stores and the Palisades Mall, it is right off of the expressway I-287. The customer service is excellent and we were welcomed with fresh cookies and bottled water at check in. The common areas are clean and the beds in our room are also super comfortable and it felt like you are sleeping on a cloud! However, the room could use a lot of updates like new furniture and fresh paint. The desk chair did not adjust properly and the wallpaper were old to the point that it was slightly lifted off the wall. We stayed on the third floor in the Hudson wing and the vending machine did not work. The pool and jacuzzi is the main reason why we chose this hotel and it was pretty good. The water in the pool is warm and the jacuzzi was perfect. It was crowded but it’s expected on a Saturday. We ordered dinner from the Windsor Grille, a restaurant inside the hotel and the food was average but the service was very fast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would likely visit again.
Our stay could have definitely been so much better. We enjoyed the service we got at breakfast, the staff was super nice and the eating area was clean and the breakfast was good, note that breakfast is not included with your stay. I got the room with kitchenette, but there were no pots, pans or dishes in our kitchen and at check out, I was told I needed to ask for whatever I needed for the kitchen. I had requested a walk in shower, because of a family member with special needs and we got a room with a hydro tub, which was so difficult for him to get in and out of, I was told there were no other rooms available. The swimming pool room lights were turned off while my son and other guest were still in the pool. The hotel decided to do a fire alarm check, so the elevators were not working and we had to take the stairs all the way up, with all our bags, had we known we would have stayed out longer. There were kids running up and down the hall way being loud and at the pool too, no one was watching them, I said something to the front desk, but nothing was done. The room size was comfortable and it was clean. A few simple adjustments and our stay could have been so much better. Location is good, there are places to eat and shop at nearby.
Gorgeous building and views with enormous, luxurious rooms. But there’s no restaurant on the premises and they offered only a cold, poor quality breakfast you’d see at a Holiday Inn (supermarket bagels and gross danishes, peanut butter packets). The (very nice) room lacked basic amenities such as tea and decaf options and facial tissue, and the coffee pot had stagnant water in it and needed to be washed. Reception staff cold.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely time here! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was wonderful. The property was really lovely and totally a new experience for us. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing experience away from the everyday chaos. If you’re looking to go on adventures, there are nearby towns within 10-15 minutes. If you like to party, respectfully not the place you because it’s quiet and tame. For those of us loungers, it’s a dream come true!
My wife and I had a lovely stay at the Castle Hotel and Spa, to our surprise on check in we were upgraded to a larger suite. The room was very spacious, had great views of the Hudson and was really cozy for a weekend getaway out of the city. The staff was all very courteous and everything was clean. Only downside was the Spa and Restaurant were still under renovation so we will have to come back and try them out. Otherwise, Tarrytown has a lot of great restaurants that we were able to explore. Overall for the price, history and service, I would recommend a stay!
First I will have to start by talking about the view and the overall look of this castle, it is absolutely beautiful and gives the feel of luxury. The place is nicely decorated and the rooms are large and elegant, my room of choice was the premier King and it was more space than I imagined. Service was good until the shift changed, I had left the hotel and forgot something so I asked the person at the front desk if he could deliver a message for me to the room and that took some back and forth before he finally did but other than that service was amazing. I love the location because it’s not right off white plains main road like most of the other hotels in it’s vicinity.. it’s somewhat secluded yet right in the same area with access to restaurants and other amenities. I highly recommend this hotel if you have a special person you want to impress and there is also a spa that opens up in the springtime you can book with arrangements to utilize the spa during that time you definitely won’t regret it. thank me later
This place was absolutely amazing, we did have some issues with our reservations at first but they squared everything away. They gave us a tour of the whole castle and even took us to the top of it, we had a great view and we could see New York City off in the distance. The front staff was great, other than one guy, apparently his phone call was more important than helping someone. Their breakfast was simple, oatmeal, fruit and juice. We went during a time when there was no one in the hotel and it was great. I’d definitely stay there again.
