Update! Oct.9-10th overnight before our 6pm flt. back to Dallas. During this visit I was able to dine in for the hotel’s breakfast. There was a nice selection of breakfast items. From hot oatmeal with assortment of toppings, to fresh fruit, yogurt, as well as individual yogurt parfaits topped w/ strawberries and blueberries, to two types of scrambled eggs one to include ham and fried potatoes. There was also sausage links, bacon and my favorite item was the warm ooey gooey cinnamon rolls topped w/ dried oats in a delicious caramelized sauce with the option of chocolate syrup to drizzle on top. I normally skip cinnamon rolls offered in a buffet setting due to the dry and hardened texture but it was awesome to find that this wasn’t the case and had to go for a larger piece the second round.
They are very nice and
Friendly. Helpful.
Rooms are clean. Food is good. Staff treats you nice.
When you spend the night they give you a free breakfast for each night you stay there.
Been going there each Time I go to Tyler.
The beds seemed a lot smaller than queen.
The room seemed quite small. It seemed to be a king size bed room converted into a two beds room.
It had hardly had any furniture. One small chest holding the TV and a tiny desknpretend table.

Got all that straightened out and headed to the party. The room was a standard media room with tables and chairs nothing major and nothing special.
The hotel was very clean one thing that did irritate me (considering a lot of money was spent renting that meeting room) they did not provide any ice for the party. Everybody knows hotels have ice machines on every floor yet they would not provide any to us.
The location of this hotel is horrible. It’s in a shopping center, hard to get to and way on the south end of town away from all the touristy stuff.
We called up two hours before checking in to get early check in because we didn’t hit traffic. Sarah The Asst General Manager was a sweet heart and our room was already . The place was immaculate food was great housekeeping was superb.
I like to have coffee pool side however we found out pool has been closed for some time due to electrical problems. This I think they should inform customers. We loved this hotel for everything we needed !! The best experience was Michelle Carrington the General Manager she made sure everything we needed was available. We stayed an extra day too. We will be back especially because of Michelle!! Everyone should have a GM like her all hotels would be awesome and be as spectacular as this Hampton Inn!! We will be back!!!!!!
We check in and gather all our stuff from the car and lug it upstairs to our room. The keys don’t work. I wait with all our belongings outside the room while my partner goes downstairs and gets new keys. They did warn him if these new keys didn’t work that the door battery on the lock was dead. It was. So then he had to go back downstairs to let them know and wait for a ridiculous amount of time for the man to finish fixing another door before he can come fix ours. We’re exhausted from the trip in and it takes 45 minutes (of which I am standing in this hall with all our belongings) to get into the room and have a working door lock. Additionally, the room itself was disgusting. Please see pictures attached. We will not be returning to this hotel chain as they clearly do not maintain their locations well at all.
Will avoid this property in my future unless major changes occur.
We really wanted to like this place. It was close to family and in the middle of a shopping center where it was easy to access. Unfortunately, it makes it even harder to give a good review.
Upon arrival, check in was wonderful. The front office staff was helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
Our room however was less than superior as I have come to know from Hilton properties.
Our room had high ceilings and little was done to prevent echo. Our A/C for the unit made so much noise. The bathroom was the biggest issue. The toilet handle would get stuck where we would have to jiggle it to close or it would let water just run through it attempting to refill it, but since it wouldn’t close….we’ll you get it. Then the door to the shower/toilet wouldn’t close because the door was crooked on its hinges. They room had a “sliding door” with a track that should have moved, and you guessed it… it didn’t. The shower looked like it needed to be extensively bleached and re-caulked.
This doesn’t even cover our security issue.
When we arrived, all alternate arrival doors were out of service. This adds to the fact that when we arrived back from our family’s house, the battery or something had died to access our room! All of our stuff was stuck in the room and we were exhausted after driving 4 hours from Austin. The front office staff once again was wonderful and did literally everything they could think of to access our room in a normal way. They called anyone who might be able to help and got only 1 response. They used a portal charge pack to no avail. Finally, after sitting in the hallway for 30 min, the room was open using a crow bar. Yes, you read that right… a crow bar.
The front office was able to open my room using a crowbar. Now, I don’t know about you… but that makes me uneasy. That means any person who owns a crowbar can walk into the property, and pop open any room that didn’t have a deadbolt or additional inside security measure in place. So when you leave, all of your stuff is free for the taking. That night my husband and I were so tired we just “tried” to go to bed. I felt very unsafe in the room that night. Moving hotels was not an option as we had an early 4 hour drive the next day.
Within the next week, I attempted to contact corporate as this is a clear issue of poor maintenance and not the front desks fault. Big surprise, it was almost impossible to find someone who was capable of taking my complaint. I called three different numbers. Finally, a person transferred me to a supervisor because their system would not let them open a case number. 2 days later, the companies “resolution” was to give me an apology and some rewards points for the inconvenience. Then they said the security had to be handled at a site level and they transferred it to them.
Not a resolution at all. They essentially passed the buck.
My concern is for the little person/family who is visiting, who comes back to their hotel room to find their privacy has been violated and their room has been ransacked. That could be anyone who stays at this location.
This is the last time I will stay at a Hilton property and will ensure the others that visit my family know what places to avoid.
