We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it. If you like stargazing you can’t do much better. You are really in the middle of nowhere and it is so peaceful. We stayed in one of the cabins and it did include a kitchenette even though that wasn’t in the listing. Make sure you stock up on food and gas before you go exploring because the nearest place that you can get either is in Beatty which is thirty miles away! Highly recommended, we are already talking about going again.

Had an amazing time there!

The hosts were super kind, fun and generous, and took care of everything we needed and more

The place was very unique and surrounded by an amazing view of the desert

Definitely one of the best stays we had on our trip!

Stayed here in the cabin for a few days over the summer at the tail end of a research trip–it was absolutely stellar, from the views to the remote location to the animals roaming around to the hosts themselves, Jennifer and Nigel! We stayed in the cabin for the first two nights and decided to stay another night, we liked it so much Jennifer (who is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met, want to be just like her someday) moved us over to another room with no fuss, and was just the loveliest person to talk to and spend time with! It’s good to plan ahead a bit as you’re about half an hour away from any towns, but Jennifer and Nigel are very attentive and will handle most requests you have right away The rooms are clean and cozy and lovingly furnished, and at such a great price–can’t wait to go back soon and spend more time hanging out with all the sweethearts here!!

Easily the worst motel experience I’ve ever had. Booked through AirBnB and despite informing the hosts multiple times we’d be arriving late because of stargazing in Death Valley, we received multiple phone calls from them, including one with Nigel screaming at me.

On arrival, they left numerous signs pointing to our room — signs posted in common areas and hallways, leading anyone in the house to our unlocked room and unlocked bathroom, which remained unlocked for anyone to enter, despite it being “private” because we had no keys. Those signs had other guests’ PII on the back (including phone number, date of travel, email address, names, etc). We also had no room key and therefore no ability to leave the room and our possessions without the risk of any other person — who knew we would be there because of the public signs posted — entering.

The sheets in the room smelled like musty alcohol. I covered the pillow with a t-shirt, it was so disgusting. We also did not receive the room we booked, or one comparable.

Next door, a gentleman was voice-communicating with a professional until 4am. The walls were very thin, so we could hear every lurid details of his texts. That fellow woke a few hours later blaring country music loud enough for the house to hear.

The common areas had similar must with exposed mattresses and sheets. We were not offered breakfast.

Would stay far, far away from this place.

We stayed at the shady lady while visiting Death Valley National Park. It was great to get out of the valley where it was cooler, but we still had a breathtaking view of the night sky. The owner is incredibly welcoming and we were so happy to have met her. I definitely want to go back and stay longer in the future.

The best guesthouse in the world that smells of roses. Lovely service. One-of-a-kind prairie vibe. The sky is dotted with millions of stars – nowhere have I seen so many. Red western mountains on the horizon and peacocks. It was 2016…

This place was such a sweet, somewhat eclectic stop on our journey! The owners were so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. We had a booking mistake and they gave us a room anyway. They were sweet to our pup and didn’t charge extra for him. Breakfast in the morning was incredible and they even made a plate for our dog!
The place was clean, heavily decorated, had convenient parking and an beautiful view, as well as a nice pool (even though it was a little cold for that in February lol)
If you don’t particularly enjoy the social, togetherness aspect of old school B&Bs, the communal dining room breakfast and meeting your neighbors may not be your cup of tea, but we were definitely well taken care of, the way one would be at a beloved grandparent’s house.
Oh and there are peacocks. Tons of them, including a breathtaking white albino one.
My husband, pup, and I would recommend this place to anyone. It was a highlight for sure.

Lovely B&B with a very personal touch. Interior decoration is old fashioned victorian, but done nicely. The inn keepers are extremely friendly and you will get a ton of tips on what to do in the national park. Our room was clean and nicely heated. Breakfast is hand made as you like it.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Shady Lady B&B. Our hosts Jennifer and Nigel were very professional and accommodating. Mikah was very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean . We plan on staying there again when traveling through that area. Also, loved the peacocks. Wow !

We wanted to explore death valley and this motel was only 30mins away from it. Nigel and Jeniffer were the sweetest couple I have ever met. They were very warm and welcoming. The most amazing experience was waking up to peacocks in the backyard. There were around 40-50 peacocks and they even had a white peacock. The breakfast was amazing. Nigel showed us how to navigate through and which all points to get through Death Valley. They were very helpful. 5/5 service.

Perfect! Linda is such a sweetheart! Best breakfast, fresh and just made! Delicious. In the evening you can watch some coyotys walk by when you are lucky and at night you can hear them howl ? the room was super clean, he bed comfortably! Perfect place to stay and enjoy the desert! She has a lot peacocks but they are lovely! 10/10 highly recommended!

I’m here with an owner of a timeshare, and I’ve never been more disappointed with the room than now. The sofa is LITERALLY as hard as a rock. Sitting on it feels like sitting on a park bench. No softness at all. EXTRA Uncomfortable. The bed was the same. Ive felt cardboard that has more bounce and cushion than the bed and sofa. HARD. It’s crazy. As much money you spend in a place like this, the least they can do is have comfortable furniture. I wish a pic could show just how hard everything was. PLEASE CHANGE THE FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!! Warning to anyone that doesn’t like EXTRA ROCK FIRM furniture, your back is about to be on 1000, make sure you have plenty of pain pills. You’ll need them.

– very good location
– modern hotel
– in close proximity to the Elara Shopping Mal, which offers a good selection of restaurants
– Cool hotel bar in the lobby
– Starbucks in the lobby
– Tip: Park your car in the parking garage directly adjacent to the hotel (self parking instead of valet parking). This saves you USD 10 parking fee per day

The rooms are very nice modern decor, with remote control window coverings. The view from my room on the 36th floor was amazing! Service from the valet, bell persons and front desk were all professional, polite, and efficient. The resort is located right off the Miracle Mile Mall and Planet Hollywood Casino. Also, Elara is right on the strip across from Bellagio and Caesars. Great place for adulting…leave the kiddos elsewhere.

We stayed at Hilton Elara this past week. From Oct 10-14 for our class reunion.
My expectations were really high because this was one of the great hotel chains. Unfortunately, our recent stay was very poor , starting from check-in to check-out.
We booked a 3-BR suite. The room was spacious, with a great view . But thats about it.
All the rest about our stay here were not pleasant.
We pre-checked in as early as 11am. Front desk was well aware that we were in the hotel premises. We were given 1 BR at 4pm , initially. And then , we waited for over 2 hours , until 630pm to get the other part of the suite. We were told that the 2BR suite was still “vacant dirty” , and no one from housekeeping was even cleaning the room
while we were in the adjoining room. We decided to call front desk and spoke to Supervisor to prioritize our room so we can freshen up and changed. More importantly, because we had a dinner reservation at 6pm , which obviously, we ended up not making it on time.
During our stay, the microwave malfunctioned because we used it with 2 other small appliances in the kitchen. We ended up calling front desk.(again) Thats when we found out that the breaker tripped and cant handle 3 kitchen appliances running at the same time. The microwave was just the kind that you put in the counter but was being used as Overthe stove top Microwave with No exhaust.
The Hamilton coffee maker was terrible and not working properly and wasted out coffee grounds that we were brewing. Dishwasher was another one. We ran it before we left the room and when we came back after 8 hours, it stopped working and dishes were still dirty. Washer/Dryer was another one . My wife load our dirty clothes in the morning . When we came back to the room in the evening, it was still running. And then after its done, clothes were not even dry. The Fridge ice maker was not dispensing Ice. Ice machine was not available on our floor. We had to go 1 floor down just to get ice
With all these issues, this only means that they dont check this appliances if they’re working properly for the guests. Considering this is “Hilton Grand Vacations Resort Hotel”.. and a little pricey. We were expecting that the amount we paid will be compensated with great services.
One more thing was when we called Front desk for Trolley. We waited for so long and then we found out when my wife asked Bell services to follow up. that it wasnt even relayed to the Bell Services that we needed one. On a positive note, Bell Services were great taking care of our luggages during check-in. Valet Services was great as well. Although on our last night, they ran out of valet space , so we ended up parking our car in Self Parking lot.
Moreso, Some of our Keycards got deactivated during our stay. One of our roommates decided to go up and when she got to the room she cant get in so, she had to call one of us downstairs so we can let her in. I went up , not even sure that my keycard will work.
One last thing was during check out, our friend reminded Front Desk that the rest of us were not checking out till 1pm as promised by Supervisor – Travis (bec of our late checked in) But then, someone knocked on our told us that we had to leave the room. So we called Front desk (again) and we were told that we need to moved fr the 2BR to the 1 BR , with all out stuff because only the 1 BR was noted for late check out. Eventhough the 3-BR suite was one reservation only. Why not all the rooms are included in Late check out???!
With all these inconveniences and unpleasant experiences, Hilton thinks that a 60$ room credit and late check out time would be enough to compensate all these.

Overall, i can say that this is one of the WORSt hotel stay we’ve experienced. I hope that this honest review will help Hilton Management improve their services and make their Guests’ hotel stay more pleasant.

Walking the strip we walked past this building and they invited us in and they said they would give us a deal on a show so we took them up on it. Then we found out it’s a timeshare only they kept telling us it’s not a timeshare and I kept asking them how much it was and they kept saying it’s not about how much it is. ? It did make me think though because if you are someone that travels a lot and you’re going to keep traveling you might save money in the long run.

We stayed here in September 2022. The hotel is in a great location – inside the miracle miles shops on the LV strip. The hotel and rooms felt nice, modern, and clean. The hotel felt secure. The room was spacious. We appreciated that there was place to sit in the room if we opted to eat take-out. I like that this hotel is non-smoking, unlike most hotels on the strip. The hotel/room didn’t have any smoke smell at all. I would definitely consider coming back here next time.

I can’t say too much good because I don’t want to share. But honestly this is the best place to stay on the strip in my honest opinion. It does not have a strip view as it sits behind the planet Hollywood hotel and Paris. However after spending a long tiresome day out in the hustle and bustle of the strip, I find it relaxing to find a quiet clean comfortable place to relax. No I’m not saying that it’s reclusive by any means. It’s actually a PART OF THE MIRACLE MILE MALL! It’s doors are actually like a business front INSIDE THE MALL!! When places are open during business hours there are plenty of things to eat to experience and buy. I love all the conveniences this place offers it even has its own little mini store on the premises. I like the security this hotel offers. Do you have to have a wristband to go to the elevators. After hours they lock the doors, and you have a wristband to get in to the place. Wristband also serves as your room key and many other conveniences. Parking is very simple as you can park all the way to the end where the hotel is and come in the side door. They also give you a parking pass to go in and out of the garage with. They have a nice pool area though I don’t use it personally due to the amount of people sharing the water at any given time. I have use the bar in the lobby. It’s very convenient and private. Now, as promised, there are some negatives I don’t care for the constant hounding. I got from the sales team trying to get me to buy a condo. I had five phone calls the day I checked in, and numerous interactions with staff chasing me and my husband down to get us to take a tour, they even offered $150 gift card. I told him many times we were not interested in a purchase as we are retiring and moving out of state however, they were relentless. I find that very disrespectful so much so we left a day early. That being said, I also didn’t care much for the parking pass issue. I had twice during our stay for some reason it stopped working and wouldn’t except my pass. This is very troublesome when you have cars lined up behind you and there’s only two exits to go out, when we checked out early, they canceled it before we even got out of the gate. Therefore the gate wouldn’t open so that was frustrating. Other than that we’ve been staying here for years even before it was a Hilton and everything about it makes it very comfortable and homey, I like the cleanliness and friendly staff, other than the sales people.

We chose the Elara Grand Vacation Club because this was a business trip for me so I wanted to stay in a hotel with a professional atmosphere. At the same time, however, I wanted to experience the excitement of THE “Las Vegas” that draws people from around the world. The Elara was perfect — a lovely, modern hotel offering a comfortable haven from the hustle and bustle, with beautiful, clean, well-decorated, and very spacious accommodations, in the heart of everything. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite that had more closet space than most, a full kitchen, a large bathroom, and even a hot tub. We also had beautiful views of the mountains surrounding Las Vegas, which most people don’t notice with all the high-rise hotels surrounding them! However, the most striking thing to me about this hotel was the security offered, security which demonstrated a level of concern I’ve never seen elsewhere, in ANY hotel, even including needing a key to ENTER the elevator banks. Another example also demonstrated a different type of security than what I’ve experienced elsewhere, that I want to share with anyone considering this hotel. I had asked for a wake-up call — which was done by a real person — but I awoke earlier than expected, and was in the shower when the call came, so I didn’t hear the phone ring. Shortly thereafter, I heard a knock on the door, only to find a security guard standing there upon opening it. He apologized for disturbing me, immediately explaining who he was and that he simply wanted to make sure everything was OK since we didn’t answer the wake-up call! That was truly a first, and I was genuinely impressed by several things: 1) that a real person placed the wake-up call; 2) that when there was no answer, it was not ignored; and 3) that a security guard was sent to check to make sure no one was sick or needed help in any way! The security guard was discreet and professional, and made me feel VERY appreciated as a guest. It also made me feel that this hotel really does CARE about its guests … in EVERY WAY!

PLEASE don’t make the mistake I did by staying here!! There are so many better hotels for more competitive prices on the strip! I have not checked out yet as unfortunately I booked a nonrefundable rate, thinking that I would be safe with a Hilton hotel. I have been a Hilton honors member for years, and this is going to be the point where I transition to Marriott or one of the other chains. The management is so unbelievably unaccommodating. We checked in and there was hair and stains in our room. It looked like the appliances had not been wiped down. All we got was a “Sorry, we will come in and try to clean it again.” When we requested to have our room cleaned the next night, they did not clean it. But we did get a text at the last second saying that our water was going to be shut off! Imagine getting to your hotel after a long day of sight seeing to a dirty room and you can’t even clean it or take a shower because the water is about to be turned off! We can see they have every type of room available on their website, but they currently are not willing to move us to a different room. I can’t help but to wonder if there’s a level of discrimination going on here since we are mixed couple? I will be calling corporate and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Something I have never actually had to do before with the hotel. I’m not sure what it is, but I have never been treated like this before by any hotel chain. Let alone, Hilton!

We stay here for the quiet and professionalism of this place in such a notoriously crazy city. The lack of casinos and the heightened security makes us feel safe and comfortable when here on businesses. However after a long day of working when returning to our hotel room we fully expected to be able to shower and relax in our hot tub. Obviously we had to pay to have these added amenities and we are currently unable to enjoy them. We called the front desk and to our surprise were told that our rooms would not have water until the early morning (6am) it’s around 10pm and are just hearing of this situation now. They said they had signs up but neither of us saw a single one. We also left our room key in our room when we left and waited in line for a half hour got in line around 9:30 and when we got our replacement key we where still not told that we would not have the BASIC amenities of running water. We also have a kitchen in our room and if we had not ate out tonight we would not have been able to eat and/or wash dishes. We did not receive one single email about this what I would think is a MAJOR inconvenience to most humans. At the VERY LEAST we should have been personally notified when we checked in a few days ago that we should expect this inconvenience during our stay.

Our entire experience with the Elara was amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and the rooms and views were SPECTACULAR. I have never stayed in such a nice room! We had such a relaxing week there. I love that the hotel is connected to the Miracle Mile. We did a ton of walking, the location is great! Everything worth seeing or doing is within walking distance. The staff is so eager to help in any way they can and they truly want your vacation to be wonderful. We stayed there by using my parents timeshare points, and I really hope we are able to stay there again!
