This was the weekend of my daughter’s wedding. Everything was going great until my daughter and her new husband weren’t allowed into their room. My son-in-law accidentally left his wallet at the side of the wedding but he did reserved the room. So they had his name at the desk and his card number. My son-in-law wanted to give them his card number cuz he knows it but that wasn’t acceptable to the gentleman he was speaking to at the desk. So my wife ended up putting the room in her name and using her debit card to pay for the room. My daughter was crying on her wedding day so how do you people make up for that.. I’m pissed off.
All staff we interacted with was pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and had many options. The beds were comfy and there were two pillow options— soft or firm. The pool was small but in nice condition and honestly bigger than other hotel pools I’ve experienced. Convenient location near gas station and grocery store and local attractions. I fully recommend!
Visited a friend that was staying there. She was very happy with her room and the little mini fridge was convenient.. the gentleman in the lobby from noon to 5 when I left was very nice and welcoming
I think this was the nicest Comfort Inn I have ever stayed at. We got a suite with 2 beds and a pull-out sleeper couch. There was plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids. Quality of accommodations exceeded our expectations. It was very nice. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options to make everyone happy. Staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Additionally, the location was perfect. Just outside of the main strip, right next to the Hartville Kitchen. We easily walked there from the parking lot. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast offered lots of hot and cold options. Pet friendly hotel. Great for families. Has pool and fitness center. Area was safe. Hotel was secure. Cute walking trail behind hotel called Stark Eagle scout trail.
Stayed in this hotel over the weekend and it was fantastic! The facility as a whole is very clean, modern and neat. The hotel hot breakfast met our needs just fine (sausage, eggs, waffles, pastries, etc..). Had a great workout in the fitness center and some of the biggest pluses were the spacious clean quiet rooms, super comfortable beds and friendly staff. Will recommend this hotel to everyone I know and will definitely stay again!
If I could give this hotel negative five stars I would. Not only are the rooms dated, half the bathrooms don’t work. Housekeeping walks in even when you have a do not disturb sign on. Generally all the employees are downright rude. We have stayed there multiple times because it is close to my dads hospice care center. We stayed there a month ago and they charge us a month later for a night and the lady who answered the phone flat out said “You will not get your money back.” DO NOT STAY HERE. PLEASE. Their customer service is beyond lacking. They do not care about people. I have never dealt with a worse establishment. I have never dealt with such careless people.
This is a very nice hotel. The room we got (2 queens) was huge. Everything is very modern, as well. It was nice that there were 2 sinks in the bathroom, so more people could do things at the sink. Staff were really nice, as well. Breakfast was not very good, with waffles and frozen sandwiches. The pool was also rather small, but there was a hot tub too. Overall, this is a good option if you don’t need anything too fancy, but still want lots of modern amenities.
It’s been almost ten years since I stayed here..but had to write a review having read a very negative comment! I thought this was a very charming bed and breakfast! And I think the pictures are just the way I remember it! My room was clean. The bathroom had little samples of pretty soaps and toiletries. I thought the host did a marvelous job! He was welcoming and the breakfast was top notch…oh the pumpkin bread! He kept the kitchen stocked with snacks..and I loved that the lights went on and off as you went through the rooms at night. He had period pieces and I thought decor was lovely! He chatted with me about the history and included history as well as pictures on the walls! I adore the 1800s history and felt the home was rich with History! Did I mention the pumpkin bread? I gifted the host a blown glass edged…milk glass bowl/basket…and it looked lovely in the sitting room! I intend to return if life slows down!
Although we didn’t stay in the main house, we had access to all the amenities that was offered. The host Bob was above and beyond great place to stay definitely come back. Thanks Bob for the personal attention.
I tried being polite but since the owner implies that I am not honest, let me elaborate. First of all the photos online LOOK nothing like the place. The landscaping is so overgrown you can barely see the faded sign. The flower beds are overgrown with poison ivy and poison oak so be careful walking down the sidewalk from side porch to front entry. The exterior of home need painted including the porches, steps and railings. I could have elaborated to the owner in front of other guests but chose to be polite. I would highly suggest posting NEW photos. Yes, it was “fine”, we had a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep on but the carpeting in the room was grossly filthy with stains. I would not go barefoot. Yes the room had a private bath but what you don’t know is that an average height person can barely fit on the toilet without hitting the sink and you need to turn side ways to get into the shower. The photos online are very misleading and that is 100% honesty
The Inn is charming, yet comfortable, filled with antiques and curios. Bob, the proprietor, is an absolute sweetheart, and his hospitality is top-notch.
This was our second stay here, and we will gladly be back again.
One thing to note: Bob could only take cash or check for payment, not cards or digital payments (PayPal, Venmo, etc.). He was gracious enough to allow me to mail him a check after I returned home, since I wasn’t expecting to need my checkbook
Really cool old house from the late 1800s. The host, Bob, was friendly, and chatted just enough to not be overbearing and was funny. Cute decor in every room. We were in the Anne room which has the outdoor balcony which was so cool! We always chose b&b’s when we can and this one was great. There is some construction going on but there was no noise during our stay. Breakfast is self serve but had plenty of options. Downtown is only a couple blocks away. Would stay again!
This rating is directed for a latter 2022 visitor. Very quiet and clean stay. I recommend this location for the traveler looking for peace and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and Bob, our host, was really great!! The Inn is currently under construction for an addition. The outside foliage is a little overgrown giving it a look of being neglected. Completely understandable since it is a big project happening in the back. I can’t wait to come back when all has been completed and painted outside. The hospitality was fabulous! I recommend the stay.
