Enjoyed my stay. Great for Cedar Point. Clean room and room service. Room was a bit outdated but not in horrible shape. I would stay here again. Will say we were put in one of the few rooms that did not have an exterior door. The staircase and exterior doors were pretty noisy at night and in the AM. It can also be pretty difficult to turn out of the location onto the main road. However this would not discourage me from staying here again.

Only minutes down the road from Cedar Point. Rooms were clean, the grounds were well-kept. The pool and jacuzzi was nice. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast was nice. We plan on coming back again!

On a whim we (fam of 4) decided to do a second day at cedar point and needed a place for the night. I was actually super impressed with this place. I tend to stay away from motel looking types but it had good reviews so why not. Staff was very helpful and friendly, room was clean and had what we needed. Pool and hot tub looked clean, they have washer and dryer also. I would 100% stay here again.

It is a decent little hotel and a great location. We booked a 3 night stay. Everything was fine until we spent the day at Cedar Point and came back to our room open/unlocked. The person(I’m assuming the maid) came in to change out the garbage and stock the room with clean towels, which was so nice of them. However, they left our room open by putting the metal swing lock in between the door and the frame so the door wasn’t shut all the way. How long was it like this? We’ll never know. I about died. Never has this happened to me in the many hotels I’ve stayed at. Simply unacceptable. I called the office and it was like they did not know what to say. They offered me a handful of crickets as a consolation. They made sure to charge my card for every penny though. If that were my business, those guests would be staying the night for free! Just saying. Luckily nothing was taken so I am just grateful for that in itself.

This hotel is very close to Cedar Point. If you consider how close it is to Cedar Point you can’t beat it. Everything else this close is considerably more expensive. I rate amusement parks all over the place. I decided to give this place a close look. This room is very clean. Definitely no bugs at all. They did a great job taking care of it. It’s definitely not fancy. Then again, if you are reading this review, I don’t think you were looking for that anyway. I sincerely don’t have anything bad to say about this place. The pool is wonderful and so is the hot tub. That makes it kind of wow for the price. It’s a great place to stay if you’re visiting Cedar Point and don’t want to spend a lot of money.

Nice little motel situated in a great location to cedar point. Price was not bad and very competitive for an independent location. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Air worked great, able to get very cold if needed. Easy to walk to the nice pool/ hot tub and to the front for the breakfast buffet in the morning. They had pancakes, hard boiled eggs and cereal options, along with some fresh fruits and breads. Theres a grill/BBQ area and play ground out back. Over all it was a nice place to stay a few days.

Our room was suppose to be ready at 4 pm, ot wasn’t ready until almost 5 pm.after driving 4 hours we just wanted to be in our room. The hot tubs were full of children. They are over priced for sure. They only provide us 2 wash clothes for 4 people. 2 bottles of shampoo , 1 lotion.The hallways were dirty, the floors need a good mopping. No coffee pots are in the rooms, no extra blankets.

We had an amazing vacation! It was so nice to have the pool and beach right outside our hotel room! Besides these little things we had an awesome vacation and plan to book something again in the future!

Ridiculous long and slow check in line. 5 stations to check in and only 2 working while employees stand around and watch. Checking out, their web check-out not working so other long line.
Paid for a top quality room but got a shabby little room with a view of the roof. The towels and linen, I’ve had better at a hostile in India. Who though a picture of 2 kids in a barrel was good decor for the bathroom is beyond me but fits with the rest of the bad management decisions here.

Not enough staff to keep hotel running smoothly. They were short lifeguards, restaurant staff, and what seemed to be maintenance too. The maids did a good job though.

Most things were great. For some reason, the inside pool was closed for our 3 day trip. It’s very hot out. The perk of staying here and riding rides earlier than everyone was non-existent as less than a handful of rides were open. Even hours after the park opened, it seemed any ride we tried to go on was down. It’s 4th of July.. ?

Hotel Breakers is a great place to stay. The rooms are nicely themed and have great views. Being located by Lake Erie, it also has many miles of beautiful beach to walk and play on. The restaurants in the hotel were all very good both for food and service. Being so close to Cedar Point, the walk to the park took less than 5 minutes!

Pretty average hotel. The best part is being in the cedar point property. I was disappointed that almost all the hotel restaurants were closed because we came on a week day. Perkins was great though! Good breakfast and lunch spot, with big enough portions to split. I probably won’t stay here again though. Kalahari is a much nicer hotel with better food options and it’s pretty close to cedar point too.

We got two connecting rooms for our family, and everything was great. The rooms were clean. The pillows were supportive (which was nice for my old neck after a day of coasters). The staff was super nice. Short walk to the park. Nice pools. No coffee makers in the rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was fantastic and the rooms were clean during our visits to Breakers in 2021 and 2023. (Same thing applies to the cabin we rented at the park’s campground for our visit in 2022.)

The extra space we got in the “horizon view” suite was great for our family of 6. However, the sleeper chairs feel more like a box spring than a mattress. If your kids will need to sleep on those or the sofa bed, consider bringing sleeping bags to create a little padding beneath them. Otherwise, it will feel like they are sleeping directly on springs.

The hotel is not on-par with a “luxury resort” or a Disney experience, so consider your expectations and priorities in light of the negative reviews. For my family, the convenience and benefits of staying on-site provide a significant value in enhancing our park experience.

What we like most about the hotel itself is the ambiance along the beach in the evenings. You can relax by the fire pits, stroll along the boardwalk, or soak in one of the outdoor hot tubs, all of which beat driving home exhausted after a long day at the park. Outdoor pools and hot tubs have seasonal availability so check with the hotel before booking if that’s important to you. These were open when we visited mid-May of 2023.

The hotel doesn’t offer an included breakfast or free coffee, so plan ahead for that.

Tip: In my opinion, the options for breakfast at Breakers aren’t good, so on our second visit I packed things like granola bars and drinks for a light breakfast in our room to hold us over, then we ate an early lunch in the park around 11am. That worked out well because we avoided a long line for lunch, which made our day go even more smoothly.
