Authentic reviews of Peoria hotels featuring in-room hot tubs
We just stayed here this weekend for my birthday for two nights in the Jacuzzi room and I have absolutely no complaints ❤️. I don’t normally leave reviews but I loved it here and didn’t want to come home. The room was very clean and the Jacuzzi was perfect for my husband and I. The complimentary breakfast I was very impressed with! I rarely find a place that actually has a full breakfast anymore. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, bagels! We were impressed . Front desk was very helpful, and it was very easy to get fresh towels or anything we needed. Will definitely be returning ❤️ Thank you for a great birthday
I was very disappointed in my stay. From the start, it was one thing after another. First off the price was OUTRAGEOUS for the experience. One night stay cost me $169.29 when the price on Google was just shy of $100. To start off we checked in and went straight to the pool. The reason I booked this hotel was for the hot tub and pool. The hot tub was more like moderately warm and the jets did not work. Then we got in the pool. It was marginally cooler than the “hot tub”… We decided to swim for a bit, left to buy drinks and snacks for the night. Came back to find that our mini fridge did not even work. (So the food and drinks we just purchased went to waste). The bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The hair dryer almost caught fire and ceased to work at all. The rear door key pad fell apart as the card was tapped against it. And the safety latch on the door in our room was barely hanging on by a few very loose screws. I am furious at the quality of comfort we received for the price that we paid. Our home was currently experiencing a power outage so we needed a place until the power came on. This place is an absolute mess!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY HERE… EVER!!!
The hotel was ok. Service was horrible. The only person that really did well was maintenance, they promptly changed our light that was burned out. We started 4 nights. Housekeeping was a wreck. We’re had to request housekeeping before 11am which we did. My wife had to change the sheets and towels one day. They made the room up the last day we were there. I would fire everyone on staff except the maintenance person. Also by the smell of the elevator, and a worker exiting when we went in, she stops the elevator, smokes a joint, then puts it back into service.
Front desk staff would not accept my husband’s credit card because I made the reservation (same account). No smoking hotel, but our room reeked of cigarette smoke. Room had no TV remote. Staff brought one. It didn’t work. Second one did. Second day we had to move to a different room to get away from the cigarette smoke stink (aggravating my asthma). New room had no TV remote. Took two staff and 3 remotes to get one that worked. There was no light fixture in the bathroom. Just a bare bulb and exposed wires. At breakfast the garbage can was overflowing trash onto the floor.. We were in town for a family funeral. Did not need the added stress of this deficient hotel. Very disappointed that Americinn can no longer be trusted for quality accommodations and service. Save your money. Dont stay here.
Spent the evening after an event at the downtown civic center. Pros: excellent breakfast (eggs on a weekday), clean rooms, quiet, courteous front desk staff, and the convenience of a Panera Bread close by. Cons: My stay was on a Sunday to Monday. Had to run both sinks and the shower over 5 minutes before any hot water came out, and it wasn’t hot. I know from the front desk that the hotel was filled with Reserve Marines during the weekend. Just wondering if they’re hot water heaters are working, putting out a minimum of 120 degrees F. The hot water pressure was low when running by itself. Also, the ice machine on the main level was inoperable. Thank you for a decent stay!
Did not refresh our room while we were out during the day. Had to get towels from the maid cart. I called Nick at the front desk who very impolitely informed me it had to be requested before 8 A.M. Really???? I am a Diamond Elite Member and since the end of the pandemic have never had to “request” tje room to be refreshed. Save your money and go to a hotel that will give you the service you’re paying for!!
Just an overnight stay to rest and refresh on a long roadtrip. Great pool area with a heated spa for soaking. Clean, large room. It was quiet; love that when traveling. Plenty of well lit parking.
After a 10 hour drive from North Carolina on our way home on Sunday 5/21/23, we decided to stay overnight here. The gal that checked us in said the computer system wouldn’t allow to have my IHG membership number looked up so I didn’t receive any reward points. We had to settle for a room with two double beds, versus a King suite, as she said occupancy was high. There weren’t more than 15 cars in the parking lot and it was the same when we checked out early in the morning.
I’m not sure what was in the A/C system but overnight my eyes were running and one eye was almost swelled shut by the morning (room 520).
The shower was like a pressure washer turned back to it’s lowest setting. At the desk area, there were red splatters on the wall that I wiped off with a wet cloth.
For $200, we wished we would have just continued driving for another 3 hours as this was a very negative experience and we will not return.
At checkout, I asked for my receipt and of course my name was spelled incorrectly by the gal that checked us in wearing a stained, white shirt. The person didn’t ask how our stay was and we were just ready to get out of there. We hadn’t planned on getting up so early to leave.
Nick and will are the best guy’s I ever met the had great smiles and greeted me with love and they went above and beyond to make sure I was good it’s people like them who light our world up they deserve a bonus please keep these guys around hope to see them my next stay. The best Nick and will!!!
A nice hotel but it still suffers from the post-pandemic housekeeping shortage. It has a great restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even though I didn’t use it, it has a seemingly very well equipped gym.
I have stayed here each summer for 10+ days for the last 4 or so years for a large event. There is a reason why I come back each time. The location is great, the front end staff have always been very helpful, and the food is excellent. I have tried almost everything on the menu at Johnny’s without having a bad meal and the waiters and bar staff are great! I recently had an issue with a reservation and the front desk clerk Casey quickly got me over to William the manager who very promptly solved my issue. The customer service experience I received was exceptional. I will continue to stay here when I travel to town and have told many others to do the same that are traveling for this event.
Just wanted to let the public know that on Dec 31, 2022….we went to the Holiday Inn Express in E Peoria IL by the Bass Pro Shop. We had 10 rooms reserved for our group. These rooms were $180 each. We checked in mid afternoon, the desk clerk was fantastic. She helped us setup tables in the lobby and explained that they were available first come first serve. Again, friendly, helpful and just very nice to work with. Then, her replacements came in. They were the worst two people we have ever dealt with from a customer service perspective. Before 8pm, they kept coming to our group and telling us that we needed to know that at 10 pm it was quiet time. This was New Year’s Eve….and since we had 6 crock pots, we repeatedly offered them both any food they would like to have. Thinking, if we were nice to them that they might lighten up on the removal from the lobby. Not a teenage party, this was a family party where we were watching football and playing games. Nothing spilled or damaged. So here is where it gets unpleasant. Sam, the desk clerk, who told us he was a straight A student (not sure where that was even relevant) but he walked up to one in our group, a mother of a 3 yr old toddler, and literally threw some black garbage bags at her and told her that she should use them to clean up after we leave the lobby. There were 4 garbage cans literally in the room that we thought we would use, but Sam was insistent on us cleaning up and using the garbage bags that he threw at her. So then, my wife and I decided we would try to talk to both of them. Ashley K was the rudest front desk person I have ever met and I literally stay in hotels half of every week for my work. She insisted that I read again what I signed when we checked in. There were NO parties allowed. I then offered to pay for another conference room to move our group into. She literally looked at me and said “we don’t do that”. I personally had paid for 5 of these rooms myself, and I told her that my wife had called several times to discuss this as we had a group and wanted to ring in the new year. So I suppose my mistake was that I thought a party that they were refusing was a booze fest where people were wandering in and out of the rooms and spilling food and booze all over and I completely understand why they wouldn’t allow that…but we had 9 people in there 50’s to 70’s and maybe a dozen young adults from 21-36 and then 3 toddlers. We were not spilling, doing a single bit of damage, and were trying to be nice to literally the rudest person (Ashley K) that we had ever dealt with. I literally asked her “are you angry with me?” I also said to both of them that I had spent over $900 on my rooms and communicated with the hotel prior to checking in that we would want to be in the lobby. Ashley K called her manager and the police. The police were very respectful and told us to go back to our rooms and we cleaned up and took pictures of the clean room to prove that we left things as we found them. Remember, the desk clerk before when we checked in helped us setup. So, then some of the group called a cab to go to the Paradice, and these two told them they couldn’t wait for a cab in the lobby and had to wait outside. These people in this group paid over $540 with tax to be there and now they had to go outside, and when they refused….Ashley K and Sam called the police on them again. Just unbelievable. We obviously followed the instructions that the officers gave us…but this was caused by two very rude front desk clerks that just didn’t want to be working on New Year’s Eve. We were forced back to our rooms before 10pm after clearly communicating that we wanted to ring in the New Year and renting 10 rooms. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER TREATMENT folks!! Not a single person in our group will be back. Really loved how they ruined our night that we were just trying to safely ring in the New Year. Shared from a friend ❤️
