Authentic reviews of Ohio hotels featuring in-room Jacuzzis
The room smelled terrible, like a sweat shop, old stale body odor. There was a used tissue shoved in the mattress where the pillows lie. My 6’1 boyfriend was about 6inches taller than the shower head and couldn’t enjoy his shower.
Not sure how this hotel has a good rating on Google. Terrible rooms.
Pros: friendly front desk staff at check-in and out. Decaf coffee options in room and at breakfast. Breakfast was edible.
Cons: everything else. Room was filthy. Bathtub was stained and moldy, mirrors had handprints from previous guests, there was dust everywhere, and it looked like nobody had vacuumed with an edge tool in a few years. The couch and chair were old and full of stains, and the pull out bed was so broken we couldn’t even let a kid sleep on it. On the bottom of it 2 of the 8 springs to hold the support canvas in place were still attached. Two. The others were gone or dangling. This seems simply unsafe. Mattresses were hard, and the parking lot was dimly lit.
We had hoped to stay at the Fairfield across the highway because we stayed there last time we passed through and it was very nice. I’d strongly recommend that instead of this and will never stay here again.
Convenient location, right off the freeway. It was clean, staff friendly, the room had 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa bed. Everything was clean. Beds comfy. The only complaint is that the treadmills were wobbly and the breakfast was more merger that we usually get at a Hampton, but it was also Easter Sunday, so that may have been why. Would *definitely* stay there again.
I was very disappointed the hot tub was broken as this was a big factor in choosing this hotel. The room was nice and clean, and the kids loved the breakfast.
This is a pretty standard Hampton Inn. It is probably the nicest hotel in the area aside from the new Fairfield across the freeway. We had accidently booked a smoking room, which I did not realize was still an option. They gladly moved us to a non-smoking room, but the room had a very strong smoke scent. The room marker showed no smoking, but clearly that had not been observed. It seemed to be rather updated, but still an older hotel. If you are at all sensitive to the smell of smoke in a room, I would choose another hotel. That said, I am a loyal Hilton brand customer and we stay at Hilton brand hotels about 50 or so nights a year. I would just choose another place next time.
we initially went in and the lady at the front said that there was limited rooms available (our fault we didn’t make a reservation because we didn’t know what state we’d land in for the night). she was very kind and offered us two rooms and explained each. we chose the more expensive one because of the big tub. it was a little under 200 for the night and we were excited to take a nice bath after a long travel day. when we got into the room it was super spacious and the tub looked amazing. very big and lots of jets. however, the drain wouldn’t plug shut to hold the water so we had to go to the front and get a suction tool to hold the water in. was slightly disappointed that only 2/6 jets worked especially because we chose that room for the tub. overall the room was very very clean. my only minor complaints were the flickering lights and the air conditioner makes a squeaky noise that kept me up.
What a fantastic experience! Sharon and Crystal made it so great! Gave us tips on restaurants and things to do! These ladies are awesome! Have already recommended to family and friends and we are still here! Every employee here seems to love their job and are really engaged! Breakfast was delicious! We will be back!
wow u guys this is the best experience with a choice hotel besides the fact that they need to have 2 employees they shouldn’t be forcing 1 person to help at the desk and cook food take out trash im sorry to the employee that has to do the job of 4 people. so you could easily understand why it didn’t get a perfect score. please think about your employees if there getting paid less then 20 an hr. then you should have more than 1. and always treat everyone like they are about to give you a score.
The suite we stayed in was a 4 bed suite and it was a nice size for our family. It was fairly clean and decent for the price. However, when we arrived we found out their nice pool area has been closed down since August. There was no notice of this on their website and we booked this hotel in part for use of the pool. They either need to get this fixed or put a very obvious notice of this on their website.
Really used to enjoy staying with this establishment. Not anymore they have nickled and dime this hotel to not being a comfort inn suites.Ive noticed that the last time I was there, their showers had new heads that trickled water. When I would forward to having a hot shower at this location, not anymore. They used to have a nice breakfast complementary. That last time I was there they should have paid me not to eat.The owners have changed and are not at the standard they used to be.Goodbye.
we stayed one night after being in kentucky hiking for 5 days. Thinking it would be nice to have a real bed, some relaxing time and good sleep. That was a joke. From 10:30 at night till after 11 there where kids running up and down the hall yelling and screaming. They pounding on our door and others. I had to get up and yell at them myself. Called to the lobby 2 times to have them take care of it. That did not work. When I went and said something to the front desk, they seemed like they did not even care. The lady said I knew we would be having complaints this morning and then tells me the kid’s parents where off drinking and left thier kids 13 and under at the hotel by themselves. Would not do anything for the price witch was over $200.
Pros: 1) Very nice hotel crew 2) 24hr available coffee and fresh lemon water
Cons: 1) Too many Out of order, such as Indoor swimming pool, fitness room and business office. Unbelievable, this information is not listed anywhere, not on their website. 2) Very limited breakfast options, out of cream cheese, Great Value Yogurt ( First time seeing this brand for the hotel breakfast) No peanut butter and Jelly. 3) Old furniture around the breakfast area.
Overall: Not recommended for anyone and not book it again. Apparently very cheap management.
My room was very clean and well stocked. The staff was courteous and my AC worked superbly. My stay at the Troy Ohio Comfort inn was over all excellent. The only small negative is the pool was out of order for repairs and that was part of the reason I booked here over other options.
This place was awesome. Melody checked me in, she was sweet and professional! The decor was very modern and colorful, classy and clean! The food was ok the room was very clean except for my hard surface floor area. I have a habit of cleaning them after I check in and it was dirty, just like all the other hotels. But that was my only negative. The older lady with the blonde hair was so friendly at breakfast. It was just really nice place!
Breakfast is standard for a free hotel breakfast. Waffles you make yourself and there were typically 3 hot items likes eggs, breakfast meat and a potato. Juice, milk and coffee. Pastries were the pre-packaged type. Rooms are nice with a sitting area and bed. Bathrooms are clean. Beds are on the firm side but comfortable for a hotel. Haven’t really needed anything from the front desk the 3 times I’ve stayed at this location.
