I came to Conway on business to see some clients. My stay at the Cypress Inn was flawless. From checkin to checkout the staff was friendly, professional, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. My room was cool and bed was comfortable. The rain shower was great. I like the setup of having free roam of the common areas and enjoyed smoking my cigar out on the deck after a long evening. 5 Star for this business.

My best friend and I had a wonderful stay here in the Carolina room!! The bed was super spacious and comfortable, the spa was really fun and relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious!! Great service, with helpful signs everywhere to answer some basic questions, and there were tons of awesome places within walking distance to shop at! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for relaxation, especially couples!

This is a beautiful inn in a beautiful historic town that will take you back in time. From the baked treats to the generous happy hour to the rocking chairs on the porch and the carefully maintained rooms and the thoughtful and cheerful staff serving a home cooked breakfast with all the fixings. You really will not be disappointed!

I can’t explain how amazing this place
is. If you ever traveled and stayed at a
hotel this place will blow your mind. The
room was amazing. Huge bath and
shower. Bed was amazing. How clean
and the attention to every detail is
unmatched. But… the staff will make
you feel like you are family. The best
way I can describe it, if you ever
remember going to your grandparents
house and they always make sure you
have everything you need. I will not stay
anywhere else when I stay near myrtle
Beach. Google needs to make more
than 5 stars for places like this. 5 stars

The best breakfast served every day. Clean and beautiful room. Friendly and accommodating staff. The snack bar with readily available wine, snacks, and coffee was a big plus. Park and river walk were lovely. Short walk to downtown Conway was nice and this place is close to Myrtle Beach without the crowds. Not one negative thing to say.

The hotel is in a nice, quiet location, and despite being fully booked, it was quiet the entire time we were there. Like all of the Best Westerns at which I have stayed, the staff was friendly. The room was very clean. It is an easy 20-minute drive from Ocean Isle Beach.

Checked in, went to our room and all was well. Then without warning my wife and I noticed the water in our room was off come to find out the water to the whole hotel was off due to them “fixing” the water heater… So many hours later my wife and I come back after a long day at the beach and there was and still is no hot water. We paid for a week here… I sure hope it gets fixed soon. (After 2 and a half days we finally have hot water)
Oh and then not to mention we wanted to make use of the washer and dryer on site well the washer worked but all the dryer did was take our money. We ended up having to spend more money to go to an actual Laundromat…

Best Western Shallotte is an excellent place to stay for under $125/night if you are traveling within the Holden Beach area. Passing through and seeing some of the other local options the Best Western Shallotte is your best choice.

Very pleasant team of employees are present on all shifts. They were each happy to answer any questions we had and gave us recommendations for places to enjoy.

We stayed in room 104, which has a mixed use of space feel. Having a great king bed, a separate desk for work, an appropriate sized tv, fast internet, and an actual closet to hang our clothes were outstanding. The bathroom sink and toilet were great, yes, this is a weird compliment but if you travel enough you have come to learn a clean commode is priceless, as well as enough space to layout your toiletries.

We had three challenges with our stay. First, the shower stall is small and tight, which is caused by the second shortcoming. In the primary bedroom area you will find a Jacuzzi tub. Deciding to keep an outdated feature before, during, and after a beautiful room reservation makes sense financially, but from a use of space, the tub should have been removed. Opening up the shower area would have met the standards for today’s travelers versus keeping a 90s decor piece.

Breakfast was inconsistent and we would recommend driving out in town if you are gluten-sensitive. Both days liquid scrambled eggs were served with a mystery meat. On the second day fried eggs were available, but again somehow looked poured vs. fresh. We can share, the yogurt machine was very good, refreshing, and tasty, we skipped everything else and went to the Purple Onion and Eggs Up Grill.

From a conveince view point, you are located right next to the highway, so getting around is simple and straight forward. Make a left out of the parking lot and you are on the highway. Make a right and drive just over a mile down the road and you are in town. Both directions will lead you to food, exploration, and gas.

It was a hotel, for sure. The room was perfectly adequate. It was small, but clean. The beds were sufficient. They provided a small microwave and mini fridge, which were useful. There was also a small washer and dryer ($2.00 to dry a load of clothing if you are curious) which were also useful. The lighting left something to be desired as even with all of the lights on the room was dark. The bathroom lighting was abysmal. There was absolutely no way to do makeup or even get a good look at your face in that mirror. I suggest if you value your personal appearance you bring your own lighting. The complementary breakfast was edible and provided a variety of options. The town that the hotel was located in was absolutely terrible. If I had no other options I would stay at this hotel again. But I would recommend finding a different town. Might I recommend Ocean Isle?
