Reserved this hotel because we’re a Hilton Honors member and our son had a hockey game this weekend nearby.
Got in the room and didn’t stay more than an hour and a half when we noticed the one bed’s comforter had a stain on it (dried blood, chocolate, body substance????) And the other bed had something hard stuck on the underside of the sheet/mattress.
Got a little skeeved out at this and made reservations for the Hampton Inn about 11 miles away. Asked for a refund and was told we’d be issued one. It’s too early to say if I got my money back as I write this.
My opinion…need to have better house keeping people who can pay attention to things like this. Was kind of disappointing and disturbing.
A weekend getaway for us. It was easy to get to, we went to Gun Lake Casino and had no trouble getting in or out of the hotel. Breakfast was good, room was clean and stocked well, it was a great night.
Super convenient place right off the highway and easy access back on it. Staff is friendly and we will definitely stay at this location again when we’re in the area!
Rooms was okay, beds could be much better but, the stinch of dog pee in the hallway on the first floor is absolutely awful! I appreciate being pet friendly, for I have dogs but the smell on that carpet is repulsive!
Hampton is usually a go to, so when we were in town for a Spartan and looking for a place for the night this was it!
Room was good for the night. Beds were comfy and the place was clean. It took about five minutes for us to get checked in because the girl watching the front desk was out back. Not too much of a big deal but it had been a long drive and mobile check in didn’t work, so we had to wait.
Breakfast was so-so and the eating area is smaller than most other Hamptons. We were in a hurry so there isn’t much else we can say about our stay.
Would have given a 5 star review, but what brought it down to a 4 star was the unorganized breakfast. Very few choices and limited seating as well as the space to prepare breakfast. Perhaps the hotel was at full capacity because there really wasn’t much available. Other than that, the room although not big was very clean and comfy. The beds are queen sized but they seem a tad bit smaller. The bathroom was very clean and really enjoyed that there was full sized toiletries. The pool was nice. The staff was very friendly at check in and check out. Overall for a one night stay it was fine and do recommend it.
The rooms are small and outdated. The hottub in the room was cracking and chipping. The beds were ok but the furniture felt hard and were made with the hardest fabric. The blankets were rough too. It was very disappointing for a Hampton. I used to be able to count on getting a nice room and a comfortable space. This is not a Hampton to trust. It did not meet my expectations nor my needs for a weekend getaway. It was far from downtown however there was a target nearby.
Room seemed newly remodeled very tastefully done. Very clean, comfortable. The breakfast was amazing!! Very pleasant surprise. Family had a great time in the pool. Definitely will be back.
I stayed during New years and arrived late. I was able to check in around 10:30-11pm where Emily greeted me (she was super friendly). The room could’ve been swept and wiped down a bit better but it wasn’t disgusting. After a night out I returned to my room around 2 am and needed eating utensils, which I found in the food area downstairs that was convenient. They also had other stuff available. My favorite pet of my stay was the cozy bed and the make up wipes the provided for me haha that is brilliant.
Nice stay but checked in Saturday night young kids team was staying there also. Kids running up & down hallways like an indoor playground . Went to front desk , no one was there . Called via phone while still at desk . Night shift Guy came from behind the wall , hair messed up ,shirt untucked , red mark on forehead where he been sleeping. Told him of the safety issue but he didn’t act like cared . Told him to go back to sleep. Definitely not a good look for a professional business.
Stayed two night here last week. The rooms are clean as were the bathrooms and the beds are comfy. Not loud even though they sometimes have a zillion wee hockey players staying. Lol. Definitely our go to place.
This place is notorious for bed bugs, and not just in a few rooms! Recently had a relative stay who is to nervous to review. Stay airbnb in town for a better clean experience!
I was so taken aback at the generosity and the sympathetic, welcoming nature that Megan provided me during stay. Despite other options that have a more historic charm, the true value of hospitality care will always come out on top for a well seasoned and weary traveler each and every time. Also, as an experienced service professional who completely understands the ever changing dynamic of the role its comforting to have been treated so well..
We stayed two nights. The room was okay. Kids loved the pool and the hot tub was nice. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast but the sausage was a little over cooked. Staff was nice and friendly.
Warm, friendly atmosphere that invites you to sit next to the fireplace and read a book or visit with the family. Breakfast was tasty with many selections. Comfortable beds and lots of room. Staff was phenomenal. A little pricey.
We just stayed this place – checked in September 3rd checked out this morning. We are 100% satisfied. Friendly and amazing customer service by all the staffs especially Jamie – she was excellent! AmericInn is lucky to have her! We booked 3 bedrooms and all are cleaned. Excellent location! Super near with everything that we need! Highly recommended and definitely if we ever go back there we will stay there again and again! Thank you so much for accommodating us!
The room was clean and there were many items in the continental breakfast. I was able to see my car from my room and the room had nice furnishings. I guess the pool is a saltwater pool? I don’t know. I hadn’t been swimming in ages and so I swam some in the pool but then became worried since the pool didn’t smell the same as the chlorinated ones that I’ve used before. There was a camera in the pool room and also towels.
I don’t know how to add a half star to my rating. I have stayed here in the past and have been very happy. This visit my room was clean and as expected, however two of the lights were missing bulbs and the exhaust fan in the bathroom ran constantly.
I would still say a good place to stay at a reasonable rate.
