Authentic reviews of Texas hotels featuring in-room Jacuzzis
I enjoyed staying here for the most part. The amenities were great when they were working. The internet went out on a Thurs and didn’t come back, we left on Sun. The jacuzzi in front of the steam/ sauna also wasn’t heating from Wed- until we left. That was a bit disappointing. We ended up using the other jacuzzi that wasn’t covered. The gym was very good, they had plenty of machines and weights. I also wish the tub in our room would have been a jacuzzi tub. It was just a normal tub. I did feel the rooms were very nice and clean with lots of space and overall my stay was good but it could have been great if the internet and jacuzzi were working correctly and consistently. All the people working there were very courteous and helpful.
Very quiet and secluded place, staff is very nice and quick to deal with any issues. Rooms still seem to be outdated, especially for the Hyatt brand. There was an open outlet box when I got to my room, the management took care of it the next day.
Cons: Presentation – You get two tickets to sea world in return you need to attend the presentation about Hyatt Point system/Owner Program. We were told the presentation is for 1.5 hours it ended up being 2 hours 15 mins presentation. I kept telling the guy (Luke – the presenter) I need to go back to the room my baby is up and is crying for me. He kept on delaying to reach to the end point of how much is the cost of buying the points and didn’t let me go. Additionally made us the unnecessary tour of 2 bedroom apartment when we had already rented the 2 bedroom even after telling him that. He did the presentation, tour and took us back to presentation and kept pressing us we need to go in and talk numbers for points otherwise the presentation wouldn’t be complete and we have to pay $260. It was 11:15 pm and we had the checkout at 12. Yet he kept on talking and started getting angry at yelling “ You guys had questions”, started throwing fit at us.
People are here to enjoy vacation and have other priorities like attending baby, checking out of the hotel, head back to different location, etc. Learn to read the room and understand the urgency if people are not interested don’t pressure/force to buy pointers, do unnecessary background checks to provide more suitable deals.
We were there to relax and enjoy my post birthday celebration but they ruined my day/trip.
I was gifted a gift card for a weekend away from my husband for Mothers Day in 2023. We could never coordinate a weekend for me to use until the weekend of 9/13/2024-9/15/2024. I booked the 1 bedroom Villa for the weekend with the SPA bathtub. I cannot say that enough with the SPA bathtub! That was the only reason why I booked this hotel instead of the Hill Country Resort where I was going to the Windlflower Spa. I got to my room and boy was I impressed I was blown away at how amazing it was. Until I went to relax in the tub and take a shower that was when the horror started! I had no hot water concierge sent up the engineering team and they fixed it but it stopped working. Saturday morning I had hot water in the shower. I thought sweet when I get back from my spa day I will order room service and then I will get in that amazing looking SPA bathtub! Oh I was wrong! NO HOT WATER AGAIN!!! Then I found out that the room I was in the hot water heater was shared with other rooms! LIKE WHAT??? SHARED? I thought I heard wrong but nope and my room wasn’t the only room with that! How can you expect a 38gallon hot water heater to work for MULTIPLE ROOMS??? Never again will I stay here and do not suggest it if you want to relax and utilize the SPA bathtub and all the food was blah let alone my drink order was wrong! Can you just get your sh together! Thanks for ruining my relaxing staycation as a mother/wife/and work full time you made me stress even more! But thanks for finally getting me into a room just take a shower!
We came buy for a doctor appointment and really had fun the night before. We were able to use the lazy river, swimming pool and many other areas. At night, there were smores by the fire while we enjoyed a game of corn hole as I defeated my sons. Close by in n out burger, bubbas, freebirds and heb. Love hyatt.
1st day, saw huge roach in guest bathroom. 2nd night, huge roach in master bath w/a pile of ants on top of it! We found no ant spray! So have to call front desk in am.
The lazy river, pools, well landscaped grounds are amazing for fun loving adults and kids. The long walking path is dirt. Wish it were crushed shell. Activities were apealing (yoga, Bingo, fire pit, etc.) Charcoal grills available. The buildings in the common areas are well maintained. JBs restaurant on premises was very good. Showing some age in the rooms’ paint and furniture. Plumbing in surrounding rooms is very loud. Overall a very good stay.
This resort was hands down the best resort I have ever stayed at and we have stayed in resorts all over the world. The service was absolutely amazing, we felt truly welcomed. The pool was crisp and large and the lazy river was such a fun added bonus. Just everything was amazing. It was my mom’s bday and they had balloons in the room:) and even a bottle of wine!! 10/10 will be staying again.
Great place to unwind. It’s hard to believe you are still in the city. It’s quiet and serene yet provides fun activities. The lazy river was an amazing added touch. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Every staff member was helpful and pleasant. We will definitely return.
Such a wonderful place to spend some time to relax. We took advantage of a promotion that required us to do the vacation club presentation. Sales person was wonderful. Tommy, gave us some great information and best of all, he was nice and understood that we were not going to purchase club membership at the time. Even though he was not going to get a sale from us, he still gave us more information and was nice up to the end. We hope to go back someday to him and purchase club membership from Tommy. The property was beautiful. Clean with very, very friendly staff. We highly recommend Hyatt Residence Club San Antonio.
Remember to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won’t regret it.
I’ve been an owner there for over a decade. The staff is top notch as are the accommodations. I had our best friends and family all come for a wonderful week. Quite a nice place, close to San A, all the attractions but in a serene environment.
Rooms are somewhat dated. They are pretty good but we have stayed in rooms with better appliances, and kitchen tools. Everything was pretty clean. The location in our opinion is a good location, about twenty minutes to downtown San Antonio. Also close to SeaWorld and Six Flags though those were closed during our visit. The interstate system in San Antonio is good once you get the frontage roads figured out. Lots of really good restaurants within five to ten minutes to the property. Grocery store and service station really close.
Great room we loved camp armadillo stayed 4 days and visited everyday. Lots of activities and very nice service. Got put in a disability room so did not get to have a jet tub but was accommodated with $20 to the restaurant. Food and service was great at the restaurant definitely recommend the pizza.
A large resort located in a residential suburban setting. Property is expansive and looks like it has plenty of room for expansion. Individual units are beginning to show some signs of dating but they are clean and include most of the amenities one could think of. Beds and pillows are excellent. Bathrooms are large and include shower necessities (soaps, gels, shampoo, NO lotion), and also a cosmetic mirror in each . Kitchen appliances are showing their age but are all (mostly) in working order. Of slight annoyance is the lighting, or I should say, lack of lighting. The bedrooms and bathroom lights are exceeding dim. If you’re looking to read, you may have to do so in the kitchen/dining room area or on the patio. The main registration building is beautiful; the decor certainly befitting of the Texas area. There is a restaurant and bar on the property should you not want to leave the property. A large indoor/outdoor pool area is located in the center of the resort with numerous hot tubs dotted nearby. A very nice touch are both a steam room and sauna situated in the rec/pool area (of which I partook on a daily basis). Water slides for kids (and a few of us adults), a nice lazy river, and a children’s activity center are all close by. There is also a primitive nature trail surrounding the resort for a nice little change of pace. Numerous deer were sighted during our stay. Our visit was in the late Fall so this review is probably not indicative of what activity might be like when at full capacity during the summer months, but during our week there were few people utilizing the facilities. From Thursday on it became noticeably busier. We have been Hyatt owners over 20 years but this was our first visit to Wild Oaks Ranch. It is certainly an inviting location for families with young children as many of the outside options and activities are geared towards them. The families we encountered appeared to be having a wonderful time at the lazy river and pool areas. The resort is relatively close to downtown San Antonio (a 20 minute drive at most) yet feels secluded and peaceful. I recommend Wild Oak Ranch as a nice location for families looking for a large, fun and safe place to spend a relaxing week enjoying the water and sun.
My Wife and I loved this place. It was a relaxing adventure for our anniversary. Secluded in a beautiful wilderness setting, with plenty of fun activities and therapeutic escapes. Today we had a great lunch and cocktails at JB’s, and had wonderful service from the bartender who was charming and very helpful. Then we got dressed for the pool and took a dip in the lazy river, and it quickly followed by a soak in one of the many hot tubs. We liked it so much that we decided to book another night. Tomorrow we might do some yoga in the gym, or hit the the saunas. Who knows? Maybe we’ll try the nature trails. Also, if you have children, they have a playground area, bench swings, and Camp Armadillo with tons of fun activities for little ones. We also noticed corn hole games, ping pong, horse shoes, a golf putting course, beach volleyball and Foosball. What doesn’t this place have? 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing adventure. We can’t wait to come back. Fun for the whole family or even a romantic getaway.
We were excited about coming here and looking into buying a timeshare. But the first night, the hot water didn’t last long enough for my family to shower/bath. Same issue the next day but someone came to check the hot water heater. In the meantime we asked for a room so our child could take a bath, moved to the room and ran water, the tub has black mold like debris in it. We were offered another room, we weren’t moving again. I’m over it at this point so we made due with the shower. If we hadn’t been offered a jacuzzi room, then we wouldn’t want to use it. But since we have one, it would’ve been nice to use it and the hot water. My husband and I couldn’t sleep soundly due to the noise coming from the ceiling fan. We think the room and amenities are nice. The couch cushions are worn as well, one side sits lower than the other. Overall this wasn’t the worst experience, we expected more from the resort and it fell short.
I have stayed at this hotel twice because of the safety, location, and cleanliness. However, both times the lady at the front desk (middle-aged black lady) was so rude. She has the most monotonous and rude sounding voice, and when you ask her for help, she either makes you feel like you’re stupid, or gets mad and slams the phone on you. Why are people with an attitude like hers being hired at this location? The last time I checked, this wasn’t a Motel 6. It’s a good quality hotel located in the Legacy West Area.
Currently staying and did not know breakfast was not included until I went to grab a bite. I would argue this is more the booking company’s fault for not giving any indication that it was not included or any upgrade option when I booked, BUT at no point when I checked in was I told about the breakfast situation. I request that be more apparent on check in, especially since basically every non resort hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the US includes breakfast. (If possible tell booking companies too…but do not think they have much influence there).
In addition the only breakfast options within walking distance are Dunkin and Starbucks, which I would argue are more snack based.
The hotel is clean and nice for the price. The front desk staff was friendly. The breakfast is not included and is quite overpriced, so I cannot recommend that.
The main issue is that the website states they will price match any lower prices found online. In practice, they will not. Be wary of that.
Front desk and bar staff were super friendly and polite. First class service people. Hotel is nice, clean smells very nice as well. Scented mists are tasteful and light. Pool area nice, Good location walking distance to lots of rest. Bars etc. rooms done well
Savannah and the gentleman who managed the dinner area were truly exceptional. The older lady at the front desk was equally outstanding. The staff’s service is impeccable, earning a solid six stars day and night. Unfortunately, I must deduct to one star due to the disappointing breakfast experience, especially after an $800 hotel stay. I did share my concerns with a young lady at the front desk, although I was advised that speaking to the manager would yield the same response, ultimately feeling like a waste of time. This experience has regrettably led me to the decision of not returning
I made a reservation at this hotel a month in advance, and I received a notification 72 hours prior to my scheduled check-in date indicating that they had oversold and could not honor my reservation. While I would have been understanding if they had been unable to provide the originally booked room type, it was evident that no efforts were made to offer an alternative room category. Instead, they chose to cancel my reservation. This situation is deeply disappointing as the room was reserved well in advance, and I was traveling from out of state. Ultimately, this was a very disappointing experience and makes me hesitant to ever rebook in the future.
I was pleasantly surprised. The room I got was a suite, not sure all are. It is clean and well kept. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows my type, the denser ones. The sitting area has its own tv which is at the desk so could be a monitor as well. The fridge comes with it. I also had a separate whirlpool tub room! The bathroom is roomy and water pressure in the shower is amazing.
The breakfast was good. It is reasonable prices for a hotel, although my room got breakfast included. It is not a buffet. The coffee was good and they make coffee drinks should you like those.
The location is a bit off-putting in that it is sort of a mixed use area. But lots of restaurants are in walking distance and I walked to my company office. The rooms were very quiet. I highly recommend.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were there for 6 days and everyone enjoyed themselves. The location of the hotel was really great. Very quiet and close to everything some even walking distance. Parking was not an issue. And was pet friendly. I would definitely stay again.
This hotel was very very nice. I enjoyed my stay. My suite was great and the shower was spectacular. I will come back again. The hotel staff was very nice. I think the only thing I didn’t like was the $100 incidental charge but it didn’t bother me that much. I just thought it was $50. Still a wonderful hotel suite. Beautiful hotel.
The hotel is in a very safe area. The hotel is one of the cleanest that I have ever stayed in. Legacy West is a couple of blocks away and has lots of food, drinks, and shops.
I managed a hotel for a few years, now I am out of the biz, I like to judge hotels in comparison to the one I ran. I looked hard for issues, but could not find any. The ONLY thing I noticed was that my room’s bathroom door had some pealing from the bottom. Everything else was terrific.
The staff was great. They were all on point and never did I once get an attitude of anything less than friendly and helpful. They knew the area and were able to point out some of the best food and activities in the area. Seriously good recommendations.
Oh, Village Burger nearby is AMAZING. And ask them about the store with nothing but sports attire, equipment, and memorabilia. It’s the size of a bass pro shop.
In short, if I go to the Dallas area, I will be staying there.
Easy to get to and tons of things to do in the very near area. Rooms are clean. The staff are so pleasant. And it’s not a bad price at all! I can even find deals on rooms here that make it even better. This is one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at ever.
What an incredible experience! The entire building is beautiful and smells amazing! There’s a great coffee bar and bar with restaurant inside the lobby. (I wish the restaurant had more vegan-friendly options but most people won’t care about that.) Our room was absolutely perfect – huuuge, with a glorious whirlpool tub and 3 TVs! Such a comfy bed too, spacious bathroom, great kitchenette, and super quiet. They delivered champagne to our room; the staff is fabulous! We’ll be back next year for sure!
This hotel is absolutely beautiful ? The front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean. Very spacious as well ? The bath towels are bigger than most. The walk in shower felt amazing after a long day at work. The bed was super cozy ? This hotel does offer breakfast in the morning, but it’s not free. Hotel is located in a quiet section of Plano which is nice.
Thank you for a spectacular stay Cambria!!
