Skip the chain hotels and book this spot for your next Chicago visit! Ashlee, (manager) was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed leading up to checkin. Breakfast was included in our stay—which was delicious, and plenty of complimentary coffee, water, and tea. Our room was wonderful. The view from our room was a perfect match for a morning coffee and book. We’ll be booking Ray’s BB for our future stays in Chicago.

Breakfast is wonderful, and they even have home-baked goods and other snacks available 24/7. I was here for a tattoo appointment and they loaded me up with pastries and fruit for my session which was so appreciated! They have a variety of common spaces and dining areas that feel relaxing and homey. It was nice to get to chat with the other travelers over breakfast. Cool art and Knick-knacks around the building to explore. My room was comfortable and quiet. I stayed in the Cardinal room which has a private bathroom just across the hall with heated floors. The neighborhood felt safe to walk around in and there’s a combo to the enter the B&B and my own key for my room and bathroom. The staff is so kind and welcoming. I look forward to my next stay!

A cute, homey, quirky feel. Absolutely loved the staff. The room we stayed in was amazing too. Private bathrooms with each room is so nice. Didn’t get a chance to use the sauna or steam room but will try it out with my next stay! Looking forward to booking a room here again! Felt like home away from home. Very clean and comfortable. Being able to converse with others staying there was great as well. Breakfast was flavorful and plentiful.

This is an absolute gem of a place, everything about this B&B is so carefully thought out with their guests as first priority. All the amenities, the location, the vibes are immaculate. I will absolutely be staying here again!
Even for having so many rooms with other guests it is not loud at all, the most you’ll hear is the sounds of the older houses settling and creaking. But honestly that didn’t bother me at all, I slept great. Breakfast is delicious, all the staff are sweethearts, and the art placed all around the property is stunning and you could spend hours just looking at the art like a museum. They offer garage parking too which is extremely helpful. And one of the best things is that they have so many resources for food, shopping, and activities in the area. Easiest 5 star review to give, absolutely no critics.

My partner and I absolutely loved this place! We have decided that we will always stay here when visiting Chicago on future trips, if possible. The rates are great, and the location was perfect for us; walking distance to Concord Music Hall and the Blue Line. The staff were all genuinely kind and helpful while also respecting our privacy, which I appreciate more than anything else. I was surprised and delighted that we ended up having a garage to park in right out back. The place itself was incredible. It felt like staying at a spa/art museum in a Wes Anderson movie. We had so much fun just wandering around the building admiring the eclectic artwork and antique collections on display everywhere. I checked in wearing a Mike Egan T-shirt, and was floored to see one of his original paintings hanging outside our room. The whirlpool tub in the Flamingo room was lovely, and the sauna and steam room downstairs were much appreciated surprises. It was also a lot fun being able to raid the kitchen for cookies in the middle of the night! The made to order breakfast in the morning was hands down the best breakfast I’ve had while staying anywhere. I can’t recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to come back.

We spent a couple of nights here back in September (first time for me, while wife has stayed multiple times) and can’t recommend it enough. It seems the owner had made some upgrades, all for the better/ From the well-stocked kitchen to the nicely-furnished room, everything was great. We especially enjoyed sitting in the living areas (both indoor & out) during the quiet afternoons, sipping a glass of wine or other beverage. Lots of choices for dining within walking distance, too. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to visit Chicago so we can stay in the Villa again.

Had such a great experience! The host was extremely responsive and accommodating with our early check in request. The make-your-own cannolis and paninis were definitely a highlight in addition to the special breakfast lasagna! 10/10 would recommend and stay again

This B&B is absolutely perfect. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfasts and snacks are delicious, and the location could not be better. The fireplace in our room (The Milan Suite) was warm and relaxing. I can’t wait to schedule my next trip. Thanks for having us!

Amazing Italian Villa in a great location! We had a wonderful stay from the welcome wine in the beautiful kitchen stocked with many yummy food items and delicious local coffee to our private, comfy “Venetian” suite. Don was very accommodating and the staff (Edith) was so sweet. Loved the fresh banana bread that she made for the guests! Looking forward to our next visit to Chicago and stay at the Villa d’ Citta!

It was perfection! Every detail is so thoughtful- beautiful, lots to take in. The updated rooftop with new hot tub was so quaint, relaxing; hot tub clean and easy to use. Great security throughout. Our bathroom was in hallway outside of our room, so was very pleased to see that we had our own personal code to access it. Our room (Capone) was directly below the kitchen, so we did sometimes hear early morning hustle/bustle of breakfast. I didn’t mind, but if you are an extra light sleeper, you may want to take that in consideration.
