Very disappointed. Menus look great. Reviews look good. Food. Not good. Everything tastes like water. Seafood platter had no flavor. Shrimp floating in a bowl of lemon water. Lobster overcooked. Scallops had no flavor. Will not return or recommend.

This is just about the restaurant- this place was recommended to us to have a more upscale family dinner as a “reception” after I got married. The atmosphere was perfect but it all stopped there. My step-mom didn’t get her food until nearly everyone else was finished eating even though they said it would just be a minute. No explanation was given until she was halfway done eating. She had the surf and turf and they dropped the lobster. Instead of bringing the steak and the sides they held the whole plate until they made another lobster tail. My dad’s steak was very fatty. The Chicken Parmesan came with angel hair pasta that was over cooked and could have been eaten with a spoon. To be fair, they did comp my step mother’s meal and offered her a free desert. We got three slices of cake for desert and that took at least another 15 minutes to be served. They ended up comping all of the deserts. So disappointed.

Red Coach, what happened?? First visit post Covid, and how the mighty have fallen. My wife and I have spent the night on 4 separate occasions in the past…and our stay this week was horrid. Booked a stay directly with staff over the phone, the gentleman was extremely difficult to understand, and got our name incorrect. No big deal, but that was just the start. The advertised jet tub in our room shot black chunks of mold. The included breakfast, which used to be incredible…had shrunk in size, and no longer included a side. Our waiter was rude, and unkempt. When I politely pointed out red lip stick on my coffee mug, he said nothing…just took it and left. The server who delivered our food, when asked a question just, stared blankly, turned and walked away. When I checked out, the lady working the front desk asked how my stay was, when I responded with…”honestly, not that great” …she just looked at me and said “okay, have a nice day”. It was such a disappointing stay, that cost nearly 300 USD. Just kind of heart breaking.

Great location and very nice friendly staffs.
The hotel is located at prime location with walking distances to all the key attraction spots. The room is very comfortable but it’s a bit worn out. the hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good with many choices from the menu. Overall amazing experience to stay in the hotel.

We can’t say enough great things about our stay here. We booked for our anniversary. Aimee helped make it special with the added package of snacks/chocolate/ champagne and rose petals. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. The beds were so comfortable, as was the bedding.
Service was great!
Food was the best we had on our trip for breakfast and dinner. You can drink the water there and it is good. For some people that matters (me). Location was amazing! Amazing ?!

If you are seeking a cozy hotel or bed & breakfast, look no further than The Red Coach Inn. Its prime location across from the Falls and nearby attractions, including the Canadian border crossing, ensures a comfortable stay. The friendly front desk staff are knowledgeable about Niagara Falls packages and local amenities, such as the WEGO trolley and nearby stores, making your visit a breeze.
The restaurant offers a wonderfully comfortable dining experience, especially if you choose to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the Falls and the ringing trolley bells. The waitstaff is exceptional, providing thoughtful and impeccable service. The food is truly superb, exceeding our expectations with its presentation and delicious taste.

We were disappointed to find that our room had not been thoroughly cleaned. The carpet had not been vacuumed, and the cupboards were peeling and flaking paint. The bathroom fan vents made a loud rattling sound, which was quite bothersome.

The curtains were not properly attached to the rod, and we couldn’t block out the bright lights from the parking lot. Moreover, the tub was not clean and still had standing water in it, and the pillows had an unpleasant smell. However, my wife cleaned the tub to our satisfaction, which was quite refreshing after walking around Niagara Falls for more than 20,000 steps.

If someone were to inquire whether I would revisit the Red Coach Inn, I would most certainly respond affirmatively. However, I would come equipped with a few cleaning provisions and essential oils to conceal the disagreeable odor emanating from the pillows.

It’s an older hotel that feels rundown but still trying to be classy. The breakfast and tub in our room were the best parts! The location is really good too. The room has all lights/outlets motion activated and will automatically turn off after so long. So the tv turns itself off after 45 minutes. The bathroom lights would randomly turn on and off, any medical equipment has to be plugged into a specific outlet so it will keep running. Blow dryer would work for about 60 seconds and then stop. Just very inconvenient. Pics of the ceiling and bathroom show how the room is run down.

We were very excited to visit Niagara Falls for the first time. Did not know what to expect from this area or this hotel. We were positively shocked that we had were so close (walking distance) to the falls and had parking across the street from the hotel.
The room was something we never expected and it was super nice. The decor was interesting and my wife loved it. Super cool wallpaper.
Ask about the free breakfast… we enjoyed it very much!

Next time we visit we will be looking into this place again. I love the American side of the falls, so much walking and hiking can be done and we loved it. I hope we can explore the hiking trails by the river next time.

Excellent service from Manager Lenny. Responds very quickly, effective communication. Always very friendly and collaborative. Excellent quality of human being.

Unmatched accommodation, an unforgettable experience. The hotel in general very nice. The excellent room. Clean, neat, organized with very pleasant spaces. The people at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very varied and of good quality.

I highly recommend this hotel if you want a special stay or celebration. Excellent people. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This place needs a thorough cleaning. Showers were disgusting. Dust everywhere. Odd smell in our room and walls are thin.
Price point wasn’t bad, but it was one of my only choices in the area with most of the other hotels booked up.
The only positive is a very cool view, though, if you go to floor 19. It’s a full 360 view of the area. I think only guests have access.
The hotel has some really cool engravings. I belive it was also the oldest hotel in the area.

I would not recommend this hotel. It seems that it tries to hit a particular niche, but misses completely. This is definitely not a ‘family’ hotel, as it is not very kid friendly. And as a romantic getaway spot, it is very lacking. They appear to put all of their energy on first impressions, but the lasting impression of your stay will be one of disappointment.

For the price on the stay, there should be much more amenities offered, and you can see how they used to offer certain amenities, but don’t anymore.

For example:

– there were no robes in the room
– the (1) ice machine did not work and staff did not offer any solution to that
– the tv did not work half the time
– the bar had no food options at all
– despite being advertised, there is no option to have breakfast delivered to your room
– in addition to above, the breakfast was ‘ok’ but I have had better at holiday inn
– the rooms are decently decorated, but definitely have a an old and tired feel
– the hotel is marketed as ‘green’, which means that the plugs will shut off if there no movement detected for 45 minutes. Apparently green is in reference to their utility costs.

The only plus side to the hotel is location, which is very good. Near to the state park and right next to old falls street.

We stayed at The Giacommo for two nights to visit Niagara Falls. The hotel website states it’s “The premiere luxury boutique hotel in Niagara Falls, NY”, but we were disappointed. Whilst the rooms were clean, the staff polite and helpful, and location close the The Falls, the hotel is very tired and worn and in need of some maintenance and love.

We booked the the Niagara Falls “American & Canadian Tour” which the hotel website states includes “The Giacomo Essential Survival Bag”, but we received nothing. We called the hotel to book the tour weeks before but despite numerous follow up emails and calls, only received confirmatuon a couple of days before. We would recommend booking directly with Over The Falls Tours (that operate the one advertised on the hotel website) who were excellent and cheaper direct!

Our booking information mentioned room service breakfast, but when we asked, we were informed it was no longer offered. The lounge bar was not offering food due to equipment malfunction so we were left to find our own meals elsewhere during the stay.

The breakfast offering was very limited and was far from luxury boutique, with cheap plastic plates and knives, and a very limited hot buffet. The fresh fruit salad and bakery items were excellent, and the service was perfect. Overall, we’ve had better breakfasts in a budget hotel.

We discovered that, although the hotel has 19 floors, most of this is taken up by office and residential space, with the hotel being a minor part of the business – it shows.

Overall, for us, The Giacommo over-promised and under-delivered.

Konstantin Treshchev

03:53 16 Aug 23
The hotel is not too bad and I’d say it’s good, but they say that it is a boutique hotel. So it probably should be perfect.
It is not.
So the hotel has free parking, but it has just 2 tiny spaces to unload. Then you check in and get the code for the parking lot across the road.
In the room the AC was making rattling sounds and did not really care if we tried to make it warmer, it was blasting cold air. The front desk said that it always does that, which is a weird thing to say at the boutique hotel. The bed sheets were too small for the king bed.
There were two options how to get breakfast, they say that they did not have enough space for everyone, so they offer to deliver it to your room.
Overall, I like the hotel, it could be great for a 2* or even 3*, but it claims to be a 4* boutique hotel which it is not.
The location is just great, really close to the falls.

The hotel has only one USP, it is very close to Niagra Falls. The hotel itself is very old, the rooms are dingy, no pleasant smell, even in the corridors. Many items and equipment in the room are worn and partly defective (switch by nightstand lamp, curtains torn off the top, many grouts in the bathroom are defective). We would not recommend the hotel to others.

19:36 01 Aug 23
We had a great time at this hotel. The room was lovely… the sort of room you just have to take a photo of before you start unpacking. We got to watch the fireworks from the viewing lobby at the top of the building and met lots of other tourists. Parking across the street was easy. It’s a quick walk to all downtown destinations, and if you’re reasonably fit, over to the Canadian side of the falls… although, having now experienced it, I think you really should try to see both sides.

Anyway, if I’m ever in Niagara again, I know exactly where I’ll be staying.

Excellent hotel. Excellent location. Clean, comfortable pillows… I want to stay again!
The only little thing I would improve is that the bathroom shower area didn’t have a hand handle on the wall. But bah it’s a minor thing compared to everything else that was perfect.

This hotel is perfect for those that love and appreciate historical architecture. With only 44 guest rooms, we received great service with lots of little extras to make it nice. Skyview lounge was cool. Beautiful decor and lots of charm. Walking distance to the park/falls! The room did have some quirks that some may not care for, but comes with this overall great hotel! I’d stay again.

Nice hotel to stay in Buffalo Niagara side, nearby the falls. Sky lounge was good to see the view. However bar doesn’t serve any nonalcoholic mock tails which was a bit off side for myself. Room was clean and with all the amenities. $10 per person breakfast is available in morning. Theme and grandiosity of the hotel is impressive. Overall I will recommend this hotel if you are looking for comfortable yet affordable price to stay. For parking you should get a temporary parking sheet and code from the reception.

It’s definitely a unique hotel with a lot of old qualities. I enjoyed the décor and the exposed piping within the rooms gave an industrial flair. The fact it is so close to the falls, and going up to the top of the building to watch the fireworks was nice. We stayed in September during the blues festival, and it was a great experience overall. Rooms are quiet, you don’t hear anyone else while you are trying to sleep. The fireplace is a nice touch, and the breakfast to your room made it extremely simple to get a quick bit before heading out. Once you understand the parking situation and the fact it’s a gated lot, makes it feel a bit more secure. Would definitely visit again.

Room was nice, but a bit tired with torn curtain, scratches in wallpaper. Dirty coverlet on bed, but all bedding otherwise was fresh and clean. The lights turning on with movement can be a bit of a surprise in the middle of the night. We had some issues on the first night keeping the room warm but once it did heat up, it seemed okay. The staff was nice but there was something odd about being charged the deposit more than once. No unresolved issues however. The view from the top floor is fantastic, although it’s not accessible for wheelchairs as you need to walk up one flight of stairs. Great space overall and would love to visit The Giacomo again sometime and try out a different room.

We loved staying here! From the moment we walked in the woman working front desk on 10/13/22 was extremely friendly and helpful! The room was clean and stocked with coffee, tea, and waters. We enjoyed the Huge jet bathtub! The hotel provided breakfast to the room at desired time! Which was delicious! Would stay here again!

Great hotel. Staff have been professional and courteous. They started to serve breakfast to each room during the pandemic. They decided to continue to offer it. Included with the stay, hot/cold breakfasts. Fruit and cereals, eggs, sausages, bagels and toast.
The lounge on the main floor is very nicely decorated. Almost has a Moroccan feel to it. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful.
The only reason I didn’t give this place a five star is very slight. The carpets in the hallways do smell a little musty. Should they ever rip those out, they deserve a full five star rating.
