What an amazing experience this was! The Blackberry Blossom Room was, by far, the nicest suite I have ever stayed in (the walk-in closet alone was larger than many of my old bedrooms), with the jacuzzi tub, steam shower, programmable fireplace, delightful four-poster bed, lovely furniture, and stunning artwork (most of which by the hosts!) just some of the highlights of this incredible space. My weekend at the Inn felt like an escape from the grit, stress, and ugliness of day-to-day city livin’, replaced with relaxation, peace, and beauty everywhere I looked in this beautiful bed & breakfast. And speaking of breakfast, it was delicious! Rich and Carol spoiled us with quiche, eggs benedict, and French Toast (pictured) on the days we were there. I could go on and on about what a fabulous time we had and what wonderful hosts Carol and Rich were, but I won’t – I’m too busy scheming about when I can come back!
First of all, the hosts, Carol and Rich were awesome! Very accommodating and communicated well! Didn’t feel like you were staying in a hotel or something like that but their home. They were great about being present and help but also respectful of our privacy. We stayed in the cherry blossom room and it was amazing! The area is awesome as well! I am a bourbon drinker so we went to Limestone distillery, that one was our favorite. Great time there and definitely look forward to coming back someday.
We enjoyed everything about Wildflower Ranch! Loved the beautiful home filled with amazing art, the location was ideal for tranquility yet close to everything. The breakfasts were outstanding! Rich and Carol were excellent hosts. We’ll be back.
This was our last stop in our trip around Kentucky and definitely our favorite stay. The home and the owners were amazing. The location is about 25 minutes from Bardstown and the official bourbon capital. Bardstown has several distilleries on the trail as well as being a great small town. There are several dining choices in Bardstown for dinner. Rich and Carol will more than cover you on breakfast. As an added bonus, the art was a great addition. We stayed in the Giant Sunflower room – and it was big but homey and comfortable. This did have a shared bathroom which was also sizeable – the other room was not occupied so we did get to have it to ourselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to share as it’s big enough to separate your belongings if need be. We also took a night time stroll back through the gravel road and back to the home (around a 1 mile loop). We will definitely stay here again if we go back on the trail.
An absolutely beautiful location, comfortable and eclectic, amazing inn keepers, food is freshly prepared and delicious. Rooms are private and very comfortable. If you want to be in the middle of the bourbon trail but enjoy a restful escape at the same time, definitely choose this amazing location!
Home has been lovingly restored and I love the mix of antiques with more contemporary art; original art by the proprietors themselves! Rooms are beautiful and comfortable and you could not ask for more gracious hosts than Rich and Carol.
Not every room had it’s own bathroom. If you can get past that then you have your choice among a suite of many pleasant experiences. Those included Carol & Rich, the excellent keepers, to delightful breakfast to a wonderful home and vista. Convenient enough to hit the trail while distanced enough to feel like you’re in the country, this place is highly recommended.
Wife and I found this B&B to stay at for a short weekend visit on the Bourbon Trail. Rich and Carol have a beautiful place. Our breakfast was delicious with items like bacon, French toast, eggs Benedict, hot coffee and fresh blueberries! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The Inn has various rooms from simple to luxury to suit all tastes.
We will be back as we continue visiting the Bourbon trail as it’s very central to many of the distilleries including Makers Mark, Willet, Limestone Branch, Jim Beam and more.
We stayed for our 24th Wedding Anniversary. It was the best place to stay for us. We enjoyed the beautiful area ,quiet and untouched by the busy “real world” and wonderful warm hospitality of Mark and Carol. Breakfast both mornings was incredible. We will be back for sure!
THE PERFECT LOCATION!!! If you’re doing the Bourbon Trail, the location of the Wildflower Ranch Inn is PERFECT!!! We traveled from northern Indiana, stopped Angels Envy in Louisville, headed over to Buffalo Trace and then to Wildflower Ranch. Stayed for 4 nights of the 4th of July, visited 6 more distilleries including Willet, Heavens Hill, Makers Mark, Bardstown, Limestone and others. Spent a full day and night just floating in the pool, it was awesome. I have to say the breakfasts were fantastic, something new each morning. The beds were very comfortable. The owners, I can’t say enough, they were great host. Both artist that provided much to enjoy. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Bourbon country.
We booked the space for an afternoon leadership planning retreat. Rich prepared a fabulous lunch and made sure we had everything we needed all afternoon. It was an excellent and beautiful space for a retreat. The house is absolutely beautiful and so well decorated. We will definitely be back.
The photos were very deceiving, the pool was very small, the room smelled bad, was small and very dark. We ended up canceling our second night and paying for only the first (even though we didn’t stay either night because we found a much better hotel at the same rate). It was poorly maintained, from the paint chipping on the exterior to the dirtiness of the floors, baseboards and carpet. This hotel is overpriced for what it is.
I was so excited to take my kids to The Ark and stay with this facility, but both my husband and I came up COVID + the day of! I know the manager Roger was not happy with the situation because it broke they’re policies but he really helped me out and so did Teresa. I am grateful and will be booking with them again.
What a pleasant surprise! We stayed here overnight as we passed through on our way to Atlanta, GA. This hotel exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable, with details that aren’t found at other chain hotels. Their pet friendly policy was most appreciated as We had our fur baby with us. The charge for pets was only $20, which was a welcomed surprised, as most other pet friendly hotels charge between $50 and $75. My husband and I travel all over the country for work, and all in all, this was one of the best stays we’ve had at a chain hotel. We will definitely make this our usual stop on our way to Atlanta in the future. Thank you for a most comfortable and relaxing stay that exceeded our expectations!
Very clean rooms, check in was very quick and staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part was the pool and hot tub being open so late. After a long days drive it was just the thing to work out and relax. The only negative was that the pool area needs some TLC but was very functional and safe, just older. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the breakfast was good with lots of selections. It was very conveniently located near the highway so easy to get to it and back on the highway the next day.
The pool and hottub were great, the room was spacious, the only complaint we have is the bed was terrible! It was like laying on plywood. No one slept well. So if you like extra extra firm mattresses, this is definitely the place!
Stephen was awesome checking is in after a stressful drive 3 days ago. Felt so comfy we stayed another night. On our way back I refused to go anywhere else for our stay! Thank you Stephen for showing customer service is still a priority!
Booked a King studio suite here for under a $100 dollars for my wedding anniversary. This place has all the amenities you would need for a stay. I needed a razor they had it with shaving cream for free of charge. They have a good continental breakfast also. The rooms were very clean and presentable. Will definitely come back.
One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever been to especially for the price! We spent under $100 on Priceline for 1 night for 2 adults and 1 infant. I truly have nothing negative to say about this hotel! The staff was so friendly and kind. I even called before booking to check to make sure the pool was open and the lady was so sweet on the phone! The pool + hot tub was really clean, it wasn’t huge but at one point 3 middle school aged kids, my husband, my 3 month old, and myself were all in the pool with plenty of room. The pool stays open till midnight with pool towels by the pool! It was great for what we were looking for. They have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate out all day, and I think all night. And they also have cookies out too! The continental breakfast in the morning shocked us. They had boiled eggs, biscuits, gravy (fresh made in a crockpot), sausage patties, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice and probably more that I missed. The rooms were pretty darn big. This hotel was just one we stopped at on our way home and if we are ever in the area we will 100% stop here again. Another huge bonus for us was checkout was at noon!! 10/10 recommend!!
Hotel staff were very friendly. Rooms were very clean. We had our dog with us and sometimes dog rooms have a smell, this one did not. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Actually going back for Breyerfest 2023. My daughter and her aunt will be staying at this Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. We love the location. The pool could use some tlc and the breakfast could use some attention! But we love it
Terese the night manager goes above and beyond ensuring we had a good stay. The room is clean, the pool ready and open, the breakfast fills you up for the day. The cleaning staff is courteous and helpful. We will be back next time we visit Kentucky. ❤️
This hotel, made ever accommodation they possible could to make sure we had fun on our trip to Railbird! The pool stayed open until midnight, so we had plenty of time, the front desk associates were so very kind along with house keeping. Every need that we needed meet was well up to our standards. I appreciate the staff here so so very much! Will stay again
The $200.00 a night bill didn’t match the appearance of hotel at all. Since there’s not a 1/2 star option I’ll stick with 2. Although a renovation had been done it was basically like putting lipstick on a pig. Exhaust grill fell out of bathroom ceiling and on my head. ( poor craftsmanship on subcontractor) Insulation went everywhere. Numerous issues with not just our room door but multiple other doors around hotel.
I will admit that the staff was genuine, helpful and hospitable.
Comfy bed , lots of towels clean room and peace of mind. Had a jacuzzi in our room. Couldn’t ask for a better get away. Friendly front desk staff makes you feel at home.
This was an amazing weekend! From the time we walked in til the time we left everything was awesome!! The ppl were great and very friendly. The room was a perfect size for my family and it was very clean! The breakfast was delicious and the hours they give ppl was great. I can’t think of one bad thing to say about this hotel. Shopping was close and restaurants were close also. If you’re going to be in that area you must stay here!!
After a long drive this is the place to come to revitalize yourself. When you call, you speak with the person who works at the location not a 1800 #. Michael at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind! The decor and two front desk Ladies truly live up to the Country feel, making us Southerners feel at home. The hot tub and pool were Wonderful, the room was clean, and the breakfast was good.
We were very pleased with our stay! It was clean, very nice room, comfortable bed and a great breakfast! Not to mention food changes daily. The staff was kind and helpful! Would definitely come back!
Room was just what we needed. We were traveling and found we were too tired to continue to our destination. Needed a nice, clean and comfortable place for the night. This fit the bill. All staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of options.
Had a great experience there. Got right into our room. A/C didn’t work and they upgraded our room to king suite with jacuzzi tub. Room was super clean and quite. Felt safe and secure. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will return and will ask for rm. # 101. Pool and hot tub were both enjoyable too.
We came in after driving a long night with our 4mo teething baby. We were exhausted and hadn’t booked a room yet. Teresa was so nice when we arrived! We were definitely impressed by the rooms. Very clean and spacious. Maybe we were exhausted, but the beds were very comfortable!
